Default It's Here --- Almost

Hi Guys,

My GT has arrived at the dealers in Reno, I'm going up on Friday in a truck attached to a trailer with a check in my hot little hand to bring it here to my garage......Two Gurney bubbles and several other custom items and there will be tires on those wheels.

This is what it looks like right out of the shipping container from South Africa.

Hi Jim,

The Dual Gurney Bubbles for my tall buddies, Gulf Oil Paint Scheme and the Ceramic Coated "Nest of Snakes" headers.

The engine is an Aluminum Dart block with Webers --- Pics in my gallery, we are waiting for the arrival of a set of Aluminum Gurney/Westlake valve covers to top it off. During the fit and finish of the car there will be texture matching of the aluminum surfaces that will be visible transaxel, some billet bits etc. I am looking to get the best of both worlds ---appearance and performance.

Tony:

Enjoy!

I see that you are doing a Dart block. What oil pan did you use?

Tony:

I have a Dart block about to go into my ERAGT and I had hoped to use an Aviad. But due to the 4 bolt mains on all of the Dart mains, I ended up getting a custom aluminum pan from Stef in NJ.

Do I correctly assume that the Canton pan had to be modified?

Jim

Holy smokes. What a great looking car.
To have that delivered to my driveway would make my day for the rest of my life.
Did you move the daytona or are you keeping the both of them?

No question, if I was going GT-40 it would HAVE to be the "Gulf" colors for me. Excellent!

That looks great! I have a die cast GT 40 (and 917) in Gulf colors because they are so cool! I can't imagine what it would be like to have it full scale. Looks like full scale fun to me! Gook luck with the finish work!

Hi Guys,

I'm Back......Been Hella busy and life has a way of throwing curves.

Sold my house and bought a new one ...moved, changed jobs.

Lost two parents in June and July.

Finally sourced all the parts I wanted for the GT and it at Panteras by Wilkinson in Southern California having the engine installed with the ZF transaxle.

Update on delivery and ready to drive is Late October at this point.......
