Default Transmission-less Hurricane?

I've been puzzling over this for a few days. Has anyone else noticed this?

In the Photo Gallery (the first page of pictures, bottom row, second pic) on the new Hurricane website there is a picture of the interior of a Hurricane. On the "transmission" hump there is no sign of a shifter-- or an e-brake for that matter. Just a smooth carpet covered armrest. Nothing that I can see on the dash or steering column either. So, a couple of questions come to mind......

Is this a pushbutton automatic with the controls hidden somewhere? If so, where?
Is this an ingenious new transmissionless version of Cobra replica? Imagine the weight savings!!
Is this some PhotoShop trickery?

Inquiring minds want to know.......

All of the above!
Actually, interesting catch and I don't know the reason or who's car it is. My guess is that it is a turnkey minus car where they carpeted over the hole for the shift lever. I can tell you that you may well not see the e-brake from that angle shot. Except for those that modified it, the e-brake lever on Hurricanes is low and close to the floor.

That is what happens when you really are not ready for the pictures yet. They forgot to put the center cover on the steering wheel also. Notice you can still see the steering wheel nut.
They were probably trying to see if anyone would notice. Maybe if you call them you would get a prize. That has been done before on other things. Movie trailers and such. Way in the past of course.

I think most rollers come this way, my CSX did. You cut the hole as part of the transmission install.

I believe that picture is of hm1037 that was taken before delivery to me. It was the very first turnkey minus car built by Mike and Rich. The brake was there and like all HMS cars there was no steering wheel center cap included.

I suspect the steering wheel cover cap is missing because they say "AC" or "Shelby" or something like that...these cars are offically Hurricanes SC 427's.
I guessing on this one.

That makes perfect sense. It must have been a not-quite "complete" roller. I knew there had to be an explanation!

On the contrary, that is what a complete roller looks like. For example, I built 2 backdrafts last winter and they had neither a steering wheel center cap nor a shift lever installed. Thats how they all come.

Default Turn Key Minus

This is a picture of a turn key minus car with no motor and transmission and the carpet installed. There is a cut out in the fiberglass tub under the carpet for the shifter so the carpet is cut to install the shifter. You cannot see the e-brake.

The steering wheel center cap does not come with the car. This is typical of how a turn key minus car is produced and delivered.

Agreed-- it's a complete roller. And confirmed from Steve at Hurricane.

Mystery solved!

Will the new Hurricane be at the London Cobra Show this year? It will give those people like myself a really good idea of what they have to offer for future purchases.

Default London

Yes, we are planning on attending the London show with the Hurricane Demo car and I believe Dean Lampe is planning on having his car there also. This will be a great time to for you to look over the new Hurricane.

IF not they will definetly be at Run N Gun in Hastings, Ne. My guess is that they will be at London and Carlisle.
