ratsnst1 -- I got your PM and wrote you a thank you note back, but it bounced and said "you were not permitted to receive PMs." I agree with everything you wrote.

As I'm messing with the footbox right now on my "right hand drive" Hurricane, what exactly has been done to widen the box? I've got a good deal of space on both sides of the tunnel and have already started modifying it for a bit more space....but then I've been known to do things over more than once for some obvious reason, well, obvious to everyone but me. any photos about how they did it so I can modify my "out of date" 1081? The RHD must have been a big deal at the time because I contacted nearly all the companies based in the US in 2006 and no one wanted to touch trying to modify their kit for me. We are not talking turn key minus here or complete cars. None of the kit manufactures responded with a yes except Hurricane and some of them never responded even after several emails. Maybe since then, they have decided since sales are declining, they need the business, I don't know, but there was never any hesitation from the original Hurricane owners about offering to try to do one for me. Even came with a really nice billet Flaming River one off steering rack. Same went for trying to help me set up for a non-Ford motor, hopefully the new company is on the same level or better, they sure seem to be so far.

On long drives, how can you stretch your legs out with floor mounted pedals? I realize alot of guys want the "original" look but sure wouldn't want to do any cross country drives like that. We all have issues with this and that so we need to all be open to others opinions and how they do their cars. I like the original looks, and I admire and appreciate all the effort put into a car to be period correct but its just not me. I have a bum left leg that doesn't bend any more so can only use an auto trans so what to do. My leg is straight all the time. I've got the standard Wilwood 3 pedal set but minus one and the others spaced out.

I can't. My left foot is either on the clutch or resting on the dead pedal.

Hurricane is finishing up the new Factory Car HM2001 which should be done in the next couple weeks. You can see some build pics at the Hurricane website as follows:
http://www.hurricane-motorsports.com...d=generaltopic
Dean Lampe's Hurricane HM2002 is suppose to be done around the end of March and Mine HM2003 around May 1st. Production has been a bit slower than I expected but that is a result on all the changes they keep making to the Factory/Dean's car as they are building. I would think once they get settled in they should be able to do a car in 90 days or less.....The new car is looking awesome!!!

The effort that is making the latest version of the Hurricane, an improved and more valued car is that they are taking the time to upgrade the quality and design.
Many of the cobra replicas are very good and their quality is what makes them the good choice.
Hurricane appears to be striving to build a high end product that is the better choice.
