Default Thanks Hurricane

I have been working on HM-1102 for a couple years and am approaching the point of sending it off for paint and body work. A while back, when it came time to install the exhaust system I had problems with my passenger side header not fitting properly. It was too far forward, and even though I eventually got it to “fit” the cut-out by cutting it apart and having some mobile welding service weld it back together, it’s always bugged me. So I took a chance and decided to contact the new guys at Hurricane to see if they could help me out.

After leaving a message I was quickly contacted by Monty Rohrbeck who was more than happy to help. I actually asked him about a few problems; some spinners for my fake Hallibrands, a new aluminum fan shroud piece, and the passenger header. Monty was more than happy to help me with all my troubles and he actually shipped me a new shroud piece in a couple days. We decided that it was best for me to send my headers and sidepipes back for conversion to the new “flange” type and for them to take a look at them. Upon inspection he recommended that that they just replace a couple of tubes on the passenger side and do the flange mod. Cost me time and materials. I got them back and am extremely happy with them. They fit about the same, but they are now structurally sound with no leaks.

The main point of my long story is that I wanted to publicly express my gratitude for Monty and Hurricane Motorsports for helping me out; their customer service is beyond reproach and their workmanship on my headers, pipes, and shroud were impeccable. The best part is that I no longer feel I am on my own in finishing my car. Based on this experience, if I were in the market for a kit I would once again put Hurricane at the top of the list, especially with all the kit modifications they have recently made.

Oh yeah, I have decided to go with some Vintage wheels and don’t need the spinners anymore. I have a set of passenger side spinners and adapters for the fiberglass insert fake Hallibrands if anybody needs them (cost of shipping).
