Default Accel Dual snc- no spark at the plugs

I have an Accel Dual sync distributor aith MSD 6AL ignition set up with Accel DFI Thruster engine management set up. The car ran 9 months ag but has been off the road for nearly a year. Came to start it up last week and there is no spark at the plugs.

I have tested the 6AL with the wire tapping trick and there is a strong spark that jusmps from the coil to distributor lead. One thing that I have noticed is that when I crank the engine over the LED's in the distributor both stay lit and I thought these should go on and off as the engine detects cam and crank etc (I am not using a seperate magnetic trigger on the crank).

I would appreciate it if anybody can help with this problem as it has stumped me as the car was running 9 months ago.

Thanks

Mike

No error code under cranking. just no spark. Cranking voltage whist cranking is 9.7 volts.

Wondering whether something on the accel disributor board has gone.

Regards
Mike

oops, yeah, missed that. when i gave up on my dfi setup i pulled the dist. out and there were small parts floating around inside. maybe an hour or two of run time at the most. sent it to accel and they charged somewhere around $75 to fix it. mine ran i believe but set a trouble code which was the last straw for me.

i would resync the dist and make sure you have enough voltage to the unit.

Mikey,
Don't miss the basics. Pull the distributor cap and be sure the rotor turns when the engine cranks over.

Put the rotor back in the distributor.

People pull the rotor to protect the car from being started and driven off.

Sounds like you did that and forgot to put it back in.

thanks guys

Rotor is in and spinning. The voltage to the unit is one possible suspect.
