Default Does anyone else experience this?

Hello all,
I'm slowly realizing that both garage door and gate opener won't open when the cobra is running. I'm guessing it has to do with the MSD ignition. Anybody else? 209

Yup, I have the same problem...like you I assume it is the ignition interfering with the "waves" of the door opener.

Does the cobra start when you press the button on the door opener? Sorry..couldn't resist!

What kind of GD opener do you have? Mine works fine and it is a Genie and I have a MSD ignition.

Got a Liftmaster for garage and a All-o-Matic for gate. It's annoying having to shut off to open, but oh well. 209

You might check with Liftmaster and see if they have an upgrade or suggestion. Just noticed we have same engine. Called Roush and they said I did not need to adjust the rollers as part of normal maintenance unless there was an issue. How does your cruise work?

That is too funny--that just started happening to me 2 days ago. It had never happened before, but the past two days I have found that the remote and the radio-signal keypad both stop working when the car is on and facing the garage. I was getting ready to start reprogramming all of the remotes for my other cars, which would have been a real pain in the arse.

Just another great mystery solved thanks to this site!

I've experienced it but I thought it was more of a physical interence thing.
I keep my opener clipped to the passenger floor mat. When I press the button, the MSD is literally in the line of sight between the opener and receiver. I now have to hold the opener to get a non-interference signal. That always works.
Where do you guys keep the opener?

I have my opener velcroed to the dash on the far left, the MSD box is on the other side of dash ahead of the passenger. I have noticed that it wont work until i am close to the door, but it works all the time.
