Default Good reliable Distributor for TFI 5.0

Can anyone give me a good unbiased opinion on what would be a good reliable distributor for a windsor 5.0 small block.
Configuration is
Dart block 369 cubes
massfloefi
Trick flow 190 fac
Approx 420rwhp
I had a second hand (ebay) MSD8456 dizzy but it would run till it got hot then shut down. I then transplanted the internals of a stock ford dizzy and it would run, rough at idle but it ran. Decided to try stock ford dizzy and it was perfect. Bought a Mallory 7970404 and it wouldn't even rev past 3000rpm. Am sending that one back to summit... Sent an email to Chris a couple of weeks ago at Massflo but no response as yet. I know they have a Mallory that they use but it has a different part number. The stock ford one has had the top bearing thing chewed out, maybe too big an engine for a stock dizzy?
Any help / advice would be appreciated.

The mallory unit that Chris sells is a good unit. I think it only has a different part number because he has them make it a bit shorter for those who want to run an oval air cleaner.

I'm sure Chris switched from MSD to Mallory for a reason. Hopefully summit will refund your money and you can just go with one of his units. Mass-flo efi is a great system. I wish it would fit inside the turkey pan on my 427.

I cannot comment on the make, but if it has a TFI module mounted on it, relocate it. Ford started doing this around 1994 by uising a remote heat sink. We had this problem with a MassFlow on a 460. Moved the module and haven't had a problem since.
