Default DCNF setup

I have an Inglese Quad DCNF set on my Cobra and a few years ago when when we had it on the rolling road the guys found that it was VERY sensitive to fuel pressure. Setting a pressure that supplied enough fuel at WOT gave a very rich tickover to the extent that they could see a haze of unburnt duel above the carbs. Surely fuel pressure should not effect the mixture within quite wide limits. Any ideas?

Mylesdw,

The problem you are describing is known as Stand-off. It is caused by overlap in the cam, which caused the fuel to spit back out the top of the carbs.

If you need help fixing this problem you might want to e-mail Dan Miller, who fixes & builds our Induction Systems. He could best help you: iisystems@aol.com
