Dreamer, To answer your question I would say the best thing for me to do is let you talk to some of our customers that have been doing business with us for years. We ship all over the USA and out of the country as well. We like to run our engines before we ship and use the best parts for the job so that we do not have problems done the road. Please feel free to call to call me any time. Thanks Keith

ToyCollector, regarding your statement about the Shelby blocks, all I can tell you is that I have received 11 blocks in the last 2 months and have used all of them and have ordered 10 more about a month ago. When I do something I do not order one at a time I get with the company and work up a plan to order several. I have been working with Chris at Shelby and told him I would put my money where my mouth is. I told him to get some real dealers and make them order some blocks and that I did. Why ship one block across country for 150.00 when I can ship five for 300.00 You seem to know a whole lot about everybodys business. I guess I am the only one that is buying the blocks, but I am selling them faster than I can get them.
I also did not set around and whine about the Genesis blocks, I worked with them to get them fixed and have already built about 8 engines with them including one aluminum block engine. I also have cast iron and one aluminum Genesis blocks right now. If you fell you need to know any more feel free to call me. Thanks Keith |

I wish I had more exciting news about the Cammer motor. I was not able to buy the one in my gallery after all ($36K for the all aluminum with injection). But the SOHC engine will be my next project in one way or another. For now, I am just anxious to get ONE car for either engine. I got word that my first car is about 8 weeks +/- away. So until then, they are serviing as coffee tables in my living room... at least until my wife gets home. :) This the 482ci coffee table :) |
James Baldwin It sure is funny how spare motors end up as tables. The one comeing out of the car is going down stair as a spare, CSX52. CSX428 like yours is going into the car. I like the SOHC motor but that 6 foot chain is not to my thinking. Dove used to carry a gear drive set up for this motor. Ron Miller at FFP made a belt drive setup external for a sohc motor. It was rough looking but worked. came with 2 turbos for 25K. I think I would end up with the tunnel port heads. Almost the same flow as SOHC great upper power range but simplier. Swap meet season is about to start, anytime you need for that motor let me know. There is a guy at Englishtown and Carlisle at sells SOHC parts, rocker arms, valve covers, he had a return oil kit for the motor. Chris at Shelby said 2 weeks for the new bullet. Got to start putting the parts together. GOOD LUCK with the car. Rick Lake

Moderator's Note...
If you take a look up the page, you will see that this thread is now in a new forum. Brent has set up a Manufacturer's Forum for Keith Craft Racing. This forum will be used by the boys at Keith Craft to continue providing updates on their products and new developments, as well as a point of contact for questions directed at them. I trust Keith will continue to monitor the FE Forum to help members with tech questions on engine issues. Ron ClubCobra Moderator |
Since this is no longer a true FE forum , I guess I can let people know how excited I am about my all aluminum Keith Craft 427 windsor.
612 horsepower 615 pounds torque He!!!!!!!HAUL!!!!!!!A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON |
It's meant to be used just like all of the other manufacturers' forums...enjoy.;)

Who the hell are these Gasholes people that seem to have an opion about everything people post on hear. It is wierd how some people feel that it is there duty to take care of everybody else even though the other people do not care what they have to say. I can not get over some of these people getting there pantys in a wad over some of the most trivial things. I thought we were bringing some new and informative information about FE engines to this forum. All of the engines we have talked about belong to people that belong to this sight. I also heard one of them got private e-mails about it as well. Just my two cents worth, since I do not as much as the Gasholes. Keith Craft

Posting while ****faced is never a good idea. Pat Buckley |
Keith: Don't let the few a-holes out weigh the rest of us here that enjoy reading about your builds. Your posts are always informative and I enjoy reading about the different parts you use on each build. Those that don't find it interesting, should simply move on to another topic. There's plenty of threads / topics for everyone's interests.
Then there are those that just like to play "seagull"............fly in where they aren't wanted, drop some $hit, and fly away. Now, where was it that I left my shotgun...........? |
Well said Terry.

Keith,
I would like to have responded here, but CC discourages petty arguments in manufacturer's and advertiser's forum so please find my response in the lounge. TURK |
Keith, and others...
We were getting comments about how the FE forum was turning into an advertisement page for a single engine builder when it is intended as a general information area. We had received like comments about some of the Cobra mfgs in other forums, and we asked them to use some discretion as well. Brent posted a thread over a month ago asking all advertisers to use some discretion. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...threadid=48804 I (not as a Gashole but as a Moderator here) asked Brent to create this space specifically for Keith so that he and others interested in his products would have a their own place to talk, just like everyone ranging from Shelby to Kirkham to David Kee to retailers like FinishLine have...and remain unmolested. As Moderators and pursuant to Brent's wishes, Ron and I pay specific attention to protecting these specific manufacturing forums from being molested by folks. We work overtime to do this. It might help (for those who don't know) to understand how the sites are organized. You can use the forum button or http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/index.php to see how many manufactures have their own forums. The manufacturers have all appreciated Brent's hard work in creating these brand-specific forums, and folks that understand how to use the site appreciate being able to go directly to the manufacturer for their questions or comments. Brent freely created this location for that purpose. Keith was e-mailed about it nearly a month ago, and we also posted about it on the threads at the FE forum. I see that Keith has only now decided to post here, and use his forum with aggressive comments which indicate he might not understand why it was done, which was to benefit his business and to open up discussion, not hamper it. Keith, rest assurred your comments and discussions about your products here will be protected by yours truly, as well as by Ron and Brent. However, please use this space to talk about your products rather than attacking folks. Thank you for your expected cooperation. |
Stepping up on a Soap-box
I'm a bit confussed and no, this is not an uncommon state.:JEKYLHYDE However, why would a happy customer of ANY manufacture regardless of whether their an advertiser on this site or not be regulated to a the manufactur forum when it appears to be legitimate enthusiasm with _______ (whatever). As a club member I want to know about ALL potential successful products that might help me enjoy my cobra experience whether it's new to CC or not.
When I recieved my engine back from a builder and at that time (a different time for FE expectations that is:CRY: ) excited about my dyno results I posted for all to see. I recieved nothing but positive feedback:D but this doesn't seem to be the case with anything associated with this KCR group either directly or indirectly. As an aside, my lowly 550HP BB ran within .3 of a second to a 675HP de-tuned NASCAR motor so now I'm happy with my output once again - +125 HP = 3/10 of a second. I'm not a customr of KCR but rather simply responding as an active member of this "club". I personally want to be able to find these results in the FE (appropriately) forum especially when posted by a member/customer. Am I missing something or does it seem KCR is being singled out a little bit%/ ? Could you imagine all posts by satifisfied DV, Kirkham, you name it customers being ALL transfored to the respective "manufactures" forums because they were HAPPY with their purchase - I think not. In fact, being far from an expert on this stuff here, I would find it hard to believe they are mostly found under ALL Cobra talk. I'm done, I'm confused, heck I even may be BLACKballed now or even worse - I MAY BE SENT TO MY OWN FORUM - CRACKER"S FORUM. |

Yup, you did miss something. All we did was ask advertisers to use some discretion about repeated promotional posts in public areas. And Keith was not singled out...we asked the same thing of a mfg that kept posting about pricing of their Cobras in a public area. That is why Brent created the News Forum and Advertisers Forum in addition to providing manufacturers, builders and retailers with their own areas. If you or anyone else wants to give kudus to your car mfg, an engine builder or a retailer on a public forum, go for it! And we have made it exceedingly clear (for those that read...read Ron's post a page or two back) that Keith, Kee or any other mfg or builder are asked to share their knowledge and answer questions or explain things on open forums...which is why why Keith's thread about how dynos work was left right where he put it. I certainly brag about the Kirkhams or how happy I am with Kee's transmission or Boghosian's motor all the time, and everyone benefits when a Tom Kirkham or a David Kee or a Keith Craft are there to share their knowledge with members. BTW, I think a Cracker Forum would be great. Big Ritz Crackers versus Bite Size Ritz Crackers...which is best? :3DSMILE: |
I like Saltines :3DSMILE:
|
GS - those are what I got my nickname after. Kind of goes with my whole "salt of the earth" belief.
Soap box: Regarding this thread I simply was on the wrong one. I got Baldwins confused with Dave's which he started as a customer. JAMO Regarding which size Ritz - from what I can tell Jamo everything about you screams - GO biGGer! Between BIG & TALL we have everyone cornered. Your 300#+ and I stand 6"5" - we could start a whole new line the BT COBRA - Custom Fit Cobra's! |
I would love to hear more about Windsor Strokers from KC. I also like the idea of the manufacturer's forums.
Now somebody tell me if Turk is really pi$$ed, or was he just bu11sh!tting on the lounge thread?(as usual lately, I read a thread, then see it's been locked when I try to reply). |
