Default I started to polish my side pipes.......

It's not too much work. I have a large buffing wheel set up for polishing. I did four pipes and one side pipe. They look real good. I didn't sand the mandrel marks down so they are still apparent. When there in the car you won't see them. I have the rear end in and the engine and tranny. I installed the half shafts and driveshaft over the last couple weeks. My shifter had some issues. I had to ream out the hole for the tremec pin. We then had to turn down the ball (they made it too big). We also had to turn down the shaft for the tremec bushing. I guess I should of sent it back but it wasn't difficult for me and my friend to fix. The shifter is now polihed and also looks great. I have a little left here and there to get it running

Prying eyes was to see -- where are the pics?

Did you make the pipes yourself or have them made?

Thumbs up

I polished mine as well everything went pretty well. I just used the same method and tools I used for polishing the car. Jim S. helped as well and then we repolished his that he had done the year before.

I found this stuff for polishing and removing blueing on pipes. I bought it for my Harley and tried it on the Cobra pipes. Works well!

Franklin,
Did you sand out the mandrel marks? If so what did you use to sand them out? Can you describe how you did it?
