What BS would that be Chas? The issues, procedures and requirements are well known and well documented for a Shelby alloy build.

We could argue about dollar number till the cows come home. But I still say the majority of folks going with a Shelby alloy motor will be pushing $25K, or better, by the time they pay for shipping, installation, final tuning and accessories.

Yes, we could argue forever and you're still keeping the argument going.

You went from ALL CSX block owners spending more than "X" to a majority.

Ernie, now you're adding shipping, installation final tuning and accessories? Where do you stop? Tires and alignment? Installation of the headers and exhaust? The installation of carpet? How about the cupholder and car cover? I must be over $25,000 now, right?

The KC engine advertised with the CSX block is $19,300 with dyno tune. Shipping is probably another $500 I would guess. Holy cow. I know you want one.

The BS I refer to Ernie, is NOT anything to do with your cost discussions in this thread. I want no part of cost related issues.

I'm asking Mike to share his inside knowledge of the parts-their designs, strengths, weaknesses, power capabilities, machining and assembly procedures-in short all the TECHNICAL side of the parts. There's been a lot of misinformation over the years here.

Barry and Keith don't have all day to post info about these things but if more guys were here (Tom, George, Mike, Draille, Rob McQ, Bogoshian) a broader base of correct info would benefit us all. Even Rick could shed a lot of light having built 2 blocks, but he doesn't have all day for that either.

I didn't include Jim Dove, who is a nice man but I think his reputation here is too damaged to gain credibility.
