Enjoy the ride, our Norcal Group left without me today for a great breakfast and ride to Ione, Ca. Just because I had to stay home and manage my wifes` new driveway pour. ha

Just got back from another 12 awesome miles. It just keeps getting better and better.

These photos were taken with my cell phone, so please excuse the lack of clarity. Still, not bad for a small phone camera.

I need to install the scoop still, but i am currently sanding the underside since it had a light overspray of blue. I decided it would look better/cooler with a bare brushed finished. I also need to install the Turkey pan.

Scoopless. It kind of looks neat in person, but i would never leave it this way.

Oh, and look what showed up today-perfect timing. It's currently charging.

I got the roll bar mount and mounted it on the interior upper portion of the roll bar above my right shoulder. You do have to go to the upper portion of the curve so the camera doesn't hit the bar. This is due to the angle of the mount being parallel. I'm going to have a local CNC machine shop make me a mount that is slightly longer and with a 90* offset between the camera mount and the roll bar mount. This will provide more support and allow the camera to be a little lower.

The car looks awesome, even with my shade of blue.

(You need to get the great BIG Pro-Stock hood scoop)

Glad to hear you're finally able to enjoy the car! Maybe I'll be able to see it if you're around Thanksgiving weekend.

Well, surprise, surprise. I just found out that the Primary throttle plates were only opening partially and that the secondaries were not opening at all. I adjusted the linkage to fix the problem and just went for a 20 mile drive. This is the fastest thing I have ever driven and quite frankly, it scares the crap out of me.

Photos from Today. I went back over all of the suspension and chassis today and re-torqued all of the bolts. After the 4 hour morning inspection, i took her out for a nice 45 mile cruise with company. I can feel the engine, transmission, clutch, and suspension starting to break in a little after 140 miles.

Thanks! It's not quite finished yet, but it is getting close.

The throttle linkage was slipping, so i need to take it back to the dyno and see what numbers it puts up. You know, for a measuring contest. The secondaries were only opening 1/4 of the way. I thought i had it fixed several times, but they just kept slipping. I ended up welding all of the linkage together once it was adjusted correctly.
Now i need to remove the linkage and detail it, finish the footbox vent, close off the one puke tank hose that is dripping oil out under the car(not sure what it originally went to-one on pass side upper of tank), finish repainting letters on tires, buff and wax the paint, and polish the sidepipes and headers. Yup, they are just too nice to paint white. More photos to come soon. 180 miles on the car so far.
Arnaud came down on Thursday and we put around 40-50 miles on the car. Good times!

Hey Chris, I'm heading out of the dustbowl today and will be in Fort Benning Sunday. If you're around Sunday (and I'm not running behind schedule), I'd like to swing by and take a look at the car.

Ironman is spectacular! Like Chris said, I flew down to Birmingham on Thursday to see the car and enjoy a nice AL fall day (it was cool but much warmer then the 31* in Chicago with light snow ) Thanks again Chris!

Chris did a fantastic job putting this car together. It looks great, sounds fantastic, and it is a beast. It is quite something to be seated behind 527 screaming cids! Once the car hooks ups all the way (usually in second gear it seems, but it got grip in first too), you can feel it grip/squat down, and bang, you just got launched off a canon.

I have pictures, and good videos too, but I need to figure out how to go from a dvd to youtube.
