Thanksgiving was great! I hope you and your family are doing well too.

The only "scratch and dent" tops we have are an original 289 and an original 427 top...

I touched a real 289 top once. Col Pearson is out this way and
he dropped off one a while back. We were going to splash it, but
I couldn't bring myself to remove the orig herring bone head liner
and vinyl on the top. I gave it back.

I'll give you a call tomorrow.

David you seem to be in quite a giving mood and I would like to say thank you... My wife might choose different words. :o

Seriously, the Cobra bug has been dormant for awhile and all this excitement might very well get me back to working on the 289.

That being said, I will do a 289 pedal assembly also...%/

I had this same feeling in my belly right after our Thanksgiving meal. ;)

Chuck,

Were you referring to a 289 Hard top? I was referring to soft tops. We have an original 289 soft top and an original 427 soft top.

We also have a hard top here. I think it is for a 427. They are slightly different than the 289 hard top. Are you looking for a 289 FIA hard top?

David

Chuck Nickloy 11-28-2010 06:10 PM

That's correct, 289 hard top.

David Kirkham 11-28-2010 06:38 PM

I'll drop the 427 hard top we have on a 289 FIA car and see how well it fits. I'll let you know tomorrow.

MOTORHEAD 11-28-2010 06:41 PM

Hello David, I'd be interested in the 427 top. Is that the fabric only, or fabric and bows?
And when you say "original", do you mean original original, or original Kirkham ?
Ted

Chuck Nickloy 11-28-2010 06:42 PM

Thanks, Is the 427 top Lemans style?
I'm dumb on top language. Would like
the top that does not looking like a helmet.

Original, original. We don't have any bows. They are not hard to make, however.

I found a few of our original style wiring harnesses that we used to use on our first cars. We have 3 of them. They were made in Poland and so the wiring colors are not the same as those used on original harnesses. Also, the ends are the spade type, not the original Lucas bullet type. We used to sell these for $1000. We will let these go at $200 each. The harness includes the main harness (pictured on right) and the dash harness (pictured on left).

All sales are first come first serve.

One of the 427 harnesses sold today, 26 Nov 2010. There are now two left. The only 289 harness sold today as well.

Hi David,

Do you have a billet throw out arm, rod end, external slave, slave mount and throw out bearing with slight dents to change over from internal McCloud t.o. bearing? And whatever happened to the light weightflywheel for a dual disc clutch assembly?

Maurice, #318

Chuck

Our top is a Lemans style. We haven't made any aluminum hard tops that are the street style.

Either way is fine. Paypal or the card. Just call tomorrow.

One 427 harness left...unless I find another one. There are literally boxes I haven't opened in, well, years and years.

I will look tomorrow for a scratch and dent throw out bearing assembly. We finished the clutch and I have been driving on it in the billet prototype for quite some time. It is a thrill to drive. A little jumpy, but down shifting is a dream with that light of a flywheel.

I'll make you a killer deal.

I'll have to wrestle it from Sandwich. He has had his eye on it for quite some time now. But he is having a little girl (congratulations are in order) in February and told me yesterday he won't have time to put it on. He is working on the billet block and the Coupe so he is pretty slammed right now.

Sounds great, I need a killer deal,
or maybe I'll have some trading stock
you would be interested in???

Talk with you tomorrow,
Chuck

Cobra Pack 11-28-2010 09:09 PM

David - just sent you an email. I am curious if you are making long range FIA secondary tanks and brackets in poland or not. Gerry said a long time ago that you were going to start, but don't know if that transpired or not. Thanks!!!
