Differential with axle housings and bearings.
This differential case had the inner pinion bore machined over sized. If you want to bore it out and sleeve it you can save a very expensive case. The differential unit is a 19 spline Auburn. The axle housings are copies of the original with the taper roller bearings. You will have to clean or replace the bearings.
Differential case $2000
Side axle housing with bearings $300 x 2 for $600
Auburn Differential $300
Retail $2900
Today $750

David,
Does this differential come with Pinion shaft, seals, pinion gear/ring gears? If not, which gears does it take- Dana 44? What rear cover would be needed for this case?
Thanks,
Bob

From Post # 915
I would like two of the carburetor fuel feeds please. if you run across any more of the fuel logs, please let me know.
Thank you Sir!
Seeing those differentials makes me want to bang my head for not waiting a little longer. Oh well, c'est la vie!

Two carb feeds coming up. We use a braided stainless fuel log. The original type fuel log was a monster for vapor locking.
Don't worry about the differential. Sandwich dug these up today out from under the differential bench. We'll make it up to you on the gas tank. How about
Retail $1500
Today $1200

No ring and pinion. I don't have a used one here any more. It ended up in El Gato's car.
Dana 44 gears.
I can sell a ring and pinion for $155, depending upon gear ratio. Some are quite a bit more than other. The Auburn case here is a case for 3.73 and lower (as in a lower number, not a "higher," or steeper, gear). A 4:10 gear will not work with this Auburn. You'd have to get a different differential unit (not case).
The cover is also for a Dana 44 case. You can get them for almost nothing at a junkyard. They are on all sorts of Jeeps.

David,
I'll take the differential. I have a Dana 44 set of ring and pinion gears with pinion shaft for 3:54 set up. I'll call later to glean some info on the machining required and fitmet specs- or a sheet of the specs in the box would be helpful. Looks like I may need another box for this piece......
Thanks,
Bob

Kirkham Sale
David, I'll take the 427 upright post #965 along with the stainless stellings air cleaner, lower 427 rear arms, and the Polish motor mounts. If you and Tom decide in the spirit of Christmas to accept my offer for the 427 body and frame I could drive up and pick everything up between Christmas and New Years. That would make one hell of a Christmas present to myself! I'll give you guys a call next week. Phil
