Bad news.....aluminum dents easy, good news, aluminum repairs easy, well sort of!. Nonetheless Please move the dirt bike. I'm cringing just thinking about it! Good luck, great car. Drop me a note with you phone number and I'll give you all my lessons learned.

That dirtbike is hard to move off it's stand that's for sure, not too worried about it. But I would like to sell it so I can get a street bike, haha.
Interested in those lessons too, hopefully I won't have to use them too much! (I already made a few little scratches but came right off with the 3M pads)

Wow, brings back great memories of almost 10 years ago when KMP 142 arrived at my house in August of 2001. You're gonna have a ball with the car, and you get to work with some mighty fine people like the Kirkhams and the folks you will meet on this site. Good luck with the build, and be sure to post more pics!

Barry just sent me some pics of the engine build progressing. I really hope I will be able to go pick it up/check out the dyno next week.

Looks purdy! What are the details on the engine again? What brand crankshaft? Cam Specs? Bore and Stroke? Are the heads ported?

Wow, Arno, that is very purdy!!!
Bet you can't wait to get it installed. I was scared to death dropping my engine in, just waiting for the hoist to slip or engine to swing into all that fancy aluminum. I thought mine was a tight fit. Yours will need lube!!!! 
Hope you get it soon and post lots of pictures!

Installing the engine isnt too bad, but you do need a helper. I did mine by myself and ended up taking a little paint off of the hood surround at the rear. If i were to do it again, i would probably put the trans in first and then the engine. I know this is frowned upon because it creates more work, but there just is not a whole lot of clearance when installing the engine and trans as one unit and you have to really angle the engine sharply for it to clear the firewall. Clearance at the firewall is probably one inch at best and when it is at that point, the clearance at the front is also about the same. It gets a little hairy.
Ill admit, i was very nervous seeing the engine angled so sharply. i was also envisioning the load leveler breaking and the engine crashing down onto the body. That would ruin your decade.
