Welcome Bastien. Your days will be filled with loud noise and rushing air. Then you'll take up the oboe, just to tick off the old man.

mreid 01-23-2012 07:25 AM

Congrats, Arnaud! Of course, your wife did all the hard work.;)

He already looks like he wants to take the cobra out for a spin, if only his feet could reach the pedals!

blykins 01-23-2012 11:14 AM

Rock on man...many congrats!

RodKnock 01-23-2012 11:38 AM

I'm glad she got the flowers for you after you did all the hard work. Coaching is a tough job.

Congratulations.

Thanks everybody! Taking care of the little one has been good so far. Of course it is a lot of work but very rewarding, just like working on the car :)

For KM647, not too much going on, although I wish I was further along to take advantage of the great weather we've had here.
The EFI ECU problem was diagnosed this week as a short in the box itself. They are trying to figure out how it happened so that it won't happen again. I'm waiting to hear from FAST to see what they will do warranty wise... In any case, all the tuning done on the dyno was lost, I hope it won't take too long for the ecu to relearn everything

The box in question

I installed the Kirkham shift lever. Nice piece. It was a real b***h to get the pin out of the stock lever. I'm interested to see how it will be with a vertical lever instead of the original angled design.

Otherwise, I've been "cleaning up" the engine bay with wire holders, hiding wires, etc...

Dont worry, my engine is going to be bigger than yours,

mreid 02-04-2012 08:58 PM

We all know it's not the size, but how you drive it.

FatBoy 02-05-2012 01:57 AM

I like the look of those rocker covers. They appear to folllow the same pattern as the chrome pent-roofs, but in cast aluminium, is that correct?
If so, who makes them?

Thanks,
Paul

B.M.B.C 02-05-2012 03:21 AM

Blue Thunder .........

I hope for your sake that it is not that much bigger cause otherwise it won't fit!

Mark, especially if you can drive without using your hands :D :p

Paul, B.M.B.C. is correct. They are Blue Thunder Comp covers. These covers are very stout and well made, but I'm waiting for some "Cobra" covers to replace these.

Thanks yes it begins. I will be using the all aluminum Shelby 468. Tremec 5 speed etc.

I will start a site soon on the Kirkham Forum here and probably replicate it over on the Australian Forum for the guys there.

Pace Kirkham in Queensland, Australia are the new Kirkham agents.

mreid 02-11-2012 06:06 AM

Congrats, Bernie! Can't wait to follow your build.

Arnaud, babies like riding in cobras. It helps them sleep. How's that ECU repair going?
