We machined a diamond shaped trap directly into the bottom of the oil pan. We did sloshing tests with water in an oil pan and found the original type "square" oil trap did not capture nearly as much oil as a diamond shaped trap. The trap doors will be made from aluminum we cut out on the water jet.
