Polished car guys when my car sits in the garage it oxidizes a bit...
It polishes out but if it sits for a few weeks i have this issue. I use Nuvite to polish but it comes back eventually. Is there anything I can do to prevent this

Polished
Do you polish by hand or machine?
I will look at the brand of polish we use.... Even with a good car cover wood floors (to keep the air dry as possible) the finish requires 2 good polishings a year.
They do look great when freshly polished....

I polish with a machine and touch up by hand. I usually give it one good polish per year. Maybe it's just the maintenance of a polished car. Oh well. I was thinking the car cover may make it worse? I have a nice soft heavy cover

"There is nothing nice about a Cobra. It is stripped down to the essentials- a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires to keep the whole business on pavement. Its loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every 10 minutes. Its so damn wonderful that you cant believe it" Automobile Magazine 2004

Why not wipe with a wd40 soaked rag after polishing and then buff it; leaves a tiny residue and the shine lasts a long time; works for me in rainy England on old Triumph T120 cases and Borranni rims!
