Are you using it as a reference for a Carburetor - or a EFI setup > ?

if its for EFI the manufacturer might have something to say and they probably want it closer to the collector for computer AFR adjustments.

- if it is for reference on a carb's install and just for a gauge or tuning for dynos, I like the underside of the side pipe at about the 7 o'clock position ( drivers side , standing in front of car ) just after the 4/1 collector by about 2". mirrored idea on the passenger sside.
