New member close to getting Kirkham
I have been stalking this ClubCobra board for almost a year, and now that I am within 2 months of taking delivery of a shiny (polished) new Kirkham Cobra, i thought I would introduce myself. I am a serious car enthusiast, had and have many sports cars, but never a high HP car!!
So here is what I am getting: a Kirkham 427 Street, polished body. Some specs are intended towards originality in street cobra's, such as no roll bar, no stripes, no hood scoop, street configured dash, glovebox and door pockets, etc. Other features pfay less attention to exactly a street Cobra, such as really gorgeous billet door hinges, under mount but side exit exhaust, Avon tires, etc.
As for engine, I am getting a Shelby Engines 427 FE stroked to 468ci, with aluminum block, heads, flywheel, etc. I am told it weighs 20 lbs less than an original iron 289! Supposed to dyno around 550 hp, 580 tq.
The wait is killing me!
