Sorry it's taken a while...

Most folks just keep the brushed aluminum finish. Keep's the "is this real aluminum, or just fiberglass <knock, knock>" episodes down.

Thomas's car is about 5 years old now and it still looks great. I believe he just touches it up with scotchbrite every now and then.
