Default Kirkham Wiper switch wiring

Well, I am ready to fire her up maybe tonight/tomorrow (need to get distilled water and I am too lazy to do it now) if all my MSD wiring was done right . I need a Kirkham owner to look at the wires for the wiper switch. There should be hopefully black, yellow, green, and green/red wires hooked up to it. In my car, that switch is the lower right toggle. There are 6 connector tabs coming out of the switch. If looking at the BACK of the switch, Tell me which wire is going where. I have the black in the top right, yellow in the bottom right, and the other two disconnected as I was blowing the top fuse in the panel and traced it to this switch.

Thanks in advance--no rush. I have no wiper arms and blades anyways .

TC:

Why don't you go with a rotary switch with your wipers instead of a toggle? Rotary is original. Let me know....I'll guide you through it.

Jim, do I need to enlargen the dash hole (if so how much?) and how much is the switch? I ASSume it uses the existing 4 wires run to the current switch?

Thanks for the advice. By the way, I think you pointed out the quick jacks on my car before, it is on my punch list of things to do, bolts on the outside.

TC:

I believe that the hole has a flat that may need to be removed to correctly mount the rotary. Under separate email, I have advised the proper part numbers. Email me when they arrive, and I will guide you thru the wiring regimen.

Jim

Shaps, yes it would be good to get pic or just tell me what wire goes on what post on the switch. I plan on running that switch for now until I can investigate Jim's solution some more.

Hmm. Shaps thanks--that is a GREAT pic!!. Interesting how your Yellow and Black are swapped from weeekendwarrior's. I will test with the meter and also make sure my green/red wire is on top with green below and report back. Thanks to both of you. I know documenting switches is about as painful as it gets. Shaps, at least you have a car that has been running for some time!!

The wiring diagram shows the logic of the wires, just not placement on tabs on switch.

TC, Since mine has never seen 12v I would go with "Shaps" working version. Please let me know the final result.
