In a little bit... not ready for the content yet.

I want to put together a sample template for the individual car page first, so you can see and comment on the layout.

..just a heads up to get the pics taken if you haven't already

Ron,

Are you gonna have a lottery with the winner guessing the longest build time.

I know I'm dragging this post up from the past, but are plans in the works for a registry still?

Lew,

My apologies to the Kirkham area of this forum. I am just now really getting into this area.

We have made over 450 cars now. We are closing in on 500 fast.

I think a registry is a great idea. We need to work out the privacy issues and keep everyone happy, but I think it is important to register Ron Richards as "totally, fanatically, original, and W. Mitty's as "fanatically, one of a kind, bad to the bone! Originality, what is that?" I love BOTH cars, frankly.

I've owned a lot of "limited" type vehicles, and have belonged to many registries. I also founded the National Lightning Owners Club years ago, and I set up a registery for Lightning owners. I've seen it done in many formats.

My personal feeling on setting up a KMP registry is to include the following information:

-Name
-Town and State (and country)
-Car number
-As-sold configuration/options
-Owner added mods/current setup (drivetrain, etc)
-E-mail address/phone number

Now to keep it private for those who don't want to be contacted, you do the following:

-In the name field, give the option to use the last name initial instead of full last name.
-Allow the e-mail address and phone number to be optional. Some people love other owners contacting them, and some people just want to submit their info and be left the heck alone.

Set it up as a webpage, so that it can be both viewed and downloaded for print. If KMP has the server space, allow each owner to submit 1-3 photos of their car.

This type of registry setup should make everyone happy, and give the greatest info for all to view.
