Default Yet another newbie..... but focused!

I will be looking for a Kirkham Cobra that is a California car. Can you help me sort out what to look for? I want to cruise, go to the track, and have a valuable car upon resale. What are you collective opinions on how a car should be configured. By the way, I'm 6'3" tall and will be 60 this week! I have many hours of track time in my ex-550. Thanks for any suggestions.

Look for one that has been registered with an SB100 number. If you don't know what that is just search for it and you'll get more info than you want.

Welcome to the "Forum"..

Guess at 6'3" you will need to find a Cobra that is set up for your frame. Spend some time sitting in any Cobra and see how you are with pedal control and sitting position.

You can make some adjustments here to suit you. There may also be some adjustments that you can make to seats by removing seat runners and lowering seats.

You need to be down in the Cobra and looking through the windscreen not over the frame.

Talk with the Kirkhams as they will give you some ideas also. They will possibly have a list of available Cobras in California. They advertise on the 'Forum" on the left here..<-----

Good luck with your search.

4pipes,

Since I don't know what part of California you are in, I can't suggest anyone with a Kirkham that you could go look at. But if you can find one in your area, contact the owner and ask him if you can come look at it and maybe sit in it. That way way you will have a good idea of just what may need to be done to make it fit you the way you want.

Ron
