Taking a Kirkham for a FREE spin

David has your company ever had a customer who put his Kirkham on a rotissire without bracing the door openings and did damage to his car? Cmon. David, tell us some horror stories!!!!!

We never brace the door openings and have assembled many, many, many cars without any sort of a problem.

Tho only horror stories I am aware of so fare are people temporarily loosing their minds and letting their right foot do things it shouldn't.

I'll go a step further to say that one morning a few months back, I backed out of the garage and in doing so, didn't realize the door didn't latch...door popped open and the end of it went straight through the sheetrock in the garage and stopped the car while me braking as I heard the CRUNCH!!!! I thought for sure this was the end of a door and given the extreme angle at which it pulled it and the hinges, that the front side panel was demolished.....Door was a little out of alignment afterwards and a shim or two later and all was straight again. I couldn't believe it actually. My last car the door would've come clean off.

If anyone ever wants someone to test the structural integrity of their cars, just leave it with me for a few months...I always find some stupid a$$ way of testing the boundaries. Between testing the door & hinges and my highway offroad entertainment, Kirkham has stood up to a lot!!! http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/show...threadid=64516
