Has anyone looked into coatings that allow you to maintain the polished finish without repolishing. I know that the airlines have something that goes onto the airframe that retains their appearance. The manufacturer restricts them from polishing it because the surface then begins to dull. As I recall, on a small turboprop it was a 130K option. Again, there were specific maintenance proceedures.
