Default Kirkham Motorsports Summer Event

June 18th - 21st, Kirkham Motorsports Homecoming

As a thank you for our customers we are hosting a homecoming event. This will be four days of fun for Kirkham owners and enthusiasts. We hope that this event will give our customers an opportunity to enjoy their cars, meet other owners and make new friends.

Schedule:

June 18th – Driving school at MMP

We have arranged a discount price on the Ford Performance driving school at Miller Motorsports Park. The driving school includes instruction in the schools track prepared Mustang race cars for the first half of the day and then continued instruction in your own car for the second half of the day. There is an option to drive the Mustang for the entire day. The cost is $1,000 if you split the time between the Mustang and your car or $1,350 if you drive the Mustang for the full day. This is reduced from the normal price of $1,500. The driving school is limited to 15 spaces. We offered this last fall and the event sold out quickly and the participants were very pleased with the school.

June 19th – Open track Event at Miller Motorsports Park

We have rented the West track at Miller Motorsports Park for a track day/lapping day. This event is designed to let you explore the limits of you and your cars ability. Track days are enjoyable for experienced and non experienced drivers alike. This is a full day event and if the past is any indicator there is plenty of driving time for everyone. By the end of the day people are usually so worn out from driving that the track sits empty and pit road starts to become a busy gathering place. Tales of heroic speed abound and it's probably safer to trade the driving suit for hip waders. The track day is free for Kirkham cars and $300 for other makes.

June 20th and 21st – Southern Utah Cruise

We will leave Provo and take the back roads to scenic southern Utah. We will stay the night and then spend the following day making our way back to Provo. This will be two days of hard driving over some of the most amazing mountain roads on earth. We have a special group rate on hotel rooms. Please call or email for details on reserving a spot for this cruise. The special rate is only available until April 1st and space is limited.

We look forward to seeing many of our customers at this event and anticipate great attendance. You are welcome to come to all of the events or choose the ones you are interested in.

If you would like to be a part of the Kirkham Homecoming 2008, please RSVP by calling 801.377.8224.

Ron,

The deadline for the hotel rooms for the cruise is April 1st. So we still have some time.

Any chance you can bring both cars?

Joe

Can someone from the East Coast fly in and rent a car and join the cruise? Or do you need a Cobra replica? I was just checking the Hertz site and apparently the Shelby GT-H Mustang is NOT rented out of Salt Lake City. Is it possible to rent a sports car in Utah?

How many miles (or hours) are you talking about driving each day?

Just thought I'd see what the deal was before asking my wife is she wants to visit Utah this summer.

Because space is limited, Kirkham cars (and their owners) will have first shot on the cruise.

They do rent the GT-H and GT-H convertible, at least they did last summer. I would imagine that they have moved those cars to southern locations for the winter. One of the rental companies also does Corvettes. Can't remember which one that is though...

We will be driving 5-7 hours each day.

Joe

Joe, if I were to come up for the day, maybe two days, but my Kirkham is not running, will there be much to see and do for the "pedestrian"? Thanks.

RodKnock,

Wednesday we will have the driving school and you can participate in that in the schools Mustangs. Although we are not going to have an official open house, we would love to have you come and tour the factory and see where your car came from.

Thursday will be the open track day and we generally have one or two cars from the shop that are available for a few laps for customers and potential customers.

Friday and Saturday are the cruise days and we have had several people ask about open seats and if they could ride along with those that are coming. So far we have not arranged for this, but if we have drivers with open seats that are interested we could make arrangements.

Ron,

Our group rate on the rooms will be $109 a night.

Jamo,

I will remind you when we get closer to that time.

Joe

Anyone from the mid-Atlantic region interested in seeing if we can get a group discount from Rich Lacy to haul our cars out and back? I love driving my car, but Delaware to Utah is a looooooong drive.

I am driving mine from Exeter, CA only a little farther. Maybe the Bros. will make some kind of billit one of a kind trophy for the longest drive in their Kirkham!
