Default Gotta admit Slabsides are sweet!

This would fit great in the garage....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...m140238548977&

This car is titled in Arizona as a 1965 A.C. Cobra! It is an exquisite 1965 289 Cobra with the rare slab side 289 all aluminum body. The "289" slab side body has a long extensive waiting list! Most all Cobra recreations are your typical 427 flared fenders with side exhaust and a roll bar. This is simply a clean and rare 289 body. The body has the brushed aluminum finish and is perfect! The car is well sorted and ready for any type of driving pleasure.

The detail on this car is spectacular! The chassis is the 4" stainless steel option from Kirkham not the usual mild steel! Listed are just a few of the costly upgrades and options:

Stainless 4" tubular chassis (not the standard mild steel)
Kirkham differential, aluminum w/ mounts
Brushed aluminum body finish
Heat shields for foot boxes, polished stainless
Ferrules, doors, set of 8
Wheel well protective foam installed
Billet aluminum seat tracks
Nylon carpet
Billet aluminum pedal assembly
Powder coated rear bulkhead and wheel wells
15" wood steering wheel w/ A.C. emblem
Correct body badges (front, rear, "Powered by Ford" side emblems)
Leather covered dash
Full leather seats
Fresh air ventilation system
Battery sealed w/ mounting tray
Stainless steering shaft & U-joints
Tremec transmission mounts
Halibrand correct wheels (safety wired correctly)
Pirelli SP4000 performance tires (5)

you mean Italian/British/American car. The AC look was plagiarized from the early Ferrari's. Ac admitted. The Barchetta to be exact. Almost clones.

So far a good deal for someone - I'm out of the market now since I just
got my 427 S/C Kirkham - I'm happy with the curves!

Doug,

Thanks for the heads up! You got it ... this is right up my alley, would love to have this car. Now ... if I could only get it around the starting bid

It will be interesting to see how far it goes, someone will wind up with a very nice car indeed ... I'll keep an eye on it as it gets closer to the end of the auction.

Tim B.

The 6 cylinder Bristol engine (which powered the first AC I ever rode in 64) was a war prize to the British from BMW.
