Kirkham Rear Wheel Clearance?

Is anyone else ahving any issues with the rear wheel clearance on their Kirkham?
My brake calipers are incredibly close to the inside of my wheels. Initially, the parking brake assembly fouled the wheel and scoured the inside. I've sort of fixed that, but the main caliper is still very tight and I can't see how that can be adjusted. I keep getting stones trapped between the wheel and the caliper, which makes a horrible noise, but also gouges the wheel and caliper.
I have spoken to Joe and apparently, the machining on the wheels has changed, reducing the clearance, but I'd be interested to know what others are doing about it.

I caught a small stone the same way and yes it made an ugly sound. Only happened once. I stopped and backed up a foot or two and it was gone.

I did have that problem on my car. Especially the e-brake setup. Nothing you can do on the calipers. You could take the wheels to a machine ship and have the run down an extra .050 or so on the back side. You also won't have clearance for balancing weights in there and have to keep them along the outer edge.

I picked up a stone today in the right rear and it sounded horrendous. I haven't taken the wheel off yet to see what damage has been done.
