We Have Some Nice Cars! Don't We!
Got up at 6am yesterday morning, windmachines a roaring (means very cold outside for those in Rio Linda)and decided to go for a ride. My youngest daughter and I rode to Trona (very much armpit place). Knocked 400miles off with out a wimper, even did 15miles on dirt road. Mini Van could make it but not a Murcielago- if you know what I mean.
I fought oil temp most of the time. Had to put a piece of cardboard in and that help it never saw 70 all day and half day it bairly regestered. All winter I have been running a black sweetshirt and it would always warm up- not yesterday. Cruised most of the day at 80+mph with a couple of 110mph spurts. The 40 gal tank is great-never stopped for gas.
Bottom line: Kirkham and Bill Sario (me-the builder) know how to make a fun great car.

Yes we do have nice cars!!
I plan on taking my SPF out for a drive through the North Georgia hills with my wife tomorrow. Mid sixties and no rain forecast. Mid sixties car. Mid sixties temperature.
Maybe drive to the top of Brasstown Bald, the highest point in Georgia.

Jack
Had a nice drive over the weekend in North Georgia last weekend, up through Dawsonville to Tate & Amicola Falls, what a drive, no traffic and only one cop. What beautiful country. Can't wait to do it again, next trip to visit the relatives.
Thx, db

Don, drop me a line next time you are in Georgia. There are some amazing drives. Stella and I drove to the top of Brasstown Bald today. Highest point in Georgia. Amazing views. You can see forever. Clear day. 65 degrees.

Something about a big V8 in a small basic, raw sports car on a beautiful day.
Happy New Year!!

You're darned right we do! I'v never before been behind the wheel of a car that was such a joy to drive. I find myself wandering with no true destination mind - just a direction. I don't have to be hammering the throttle or spinning donuts in the parking lot to enjoy it, either. Just a couple hours of wandering on a sunny day puts a smile on my face that lasts all week.
This is the meaning of pure joy.
If you have the means, I strongly suggest you aquire one.

Doggone it Bill...didn't know you were up for a drive. Several of us made noise all over the foothills east of Fresno for a few hours...celebrating a friend getting his CSX finally. Nice and chilly...the bestest weather!

Sounds like a great drive...except for the 15 miles on a dirt road.

Yep, gotta hate this time of year. 80-90F, no traffic, no work.........just a few cranky cops looking for some business.
Perfect cobra conditions. Might even put on some sticky rubber!
Richard.

OK I put the pictures in my gallery and copied the properties- they seem small.

Fixed it for ya.
You evidently copied the properties of the thumbnail. Tap the thumbnail and get the full-sized pic on the page, and then copy its properties.

Big-boss...Bill
I use to work in and around Exeter back in the 80's for the So. Calif. Gas Company. I use to dream about moving to Exeter because it is such a beautiful and clean small town.
Well I ended up in Lake havasu City AZ and now love this small town experience as people here are very friendly and the pace is much slower than LA.
The picture of your Kirkham is great (kind of looks like you took it in my neck of the woods..... desert).
Thumbs up to you! ....your driving the gold standard of cobra replicas.
Best Regards, Bill Bess
