It did until i put in the Mexican hydraulics and lowered it too the ground. 
Just kiddin, yes it works fine since it's a lower profile unit. For padding, I cut up a circle from one of our used sprint car tires, works great. Might as well extend the use of the tire,....... for as much as they cost. 
I even use them as floor mats in front of the work benches.
