I am in the process of fitting the QuickTime bellhousing and Kirkham clutch fork to 625. If you flip the billet bracket over (the slave is off-center) then the fork aligns exactly to the BH opening and no modification required to the BH. Has anyone tried this; is there a clearance problem? The billet projects about 1.5 inches lower than the standard install. I have been measuring in my engine compartment and it seems ok. Aside from my innate laziness, I prefer the smaller opening to contain clutch bits, etc.

Yes, I did. The first time I measured I used the wrong reference point and thought it cleared. When I measured a second time I found my mistake. I have already attacked the bell housing; it's not yours until you cut a hole in it!
