Tom, just great project. I would burn my car to own yours.
Is this the inspiration? I've always loved this raw track rat:

In talking with Mike Pack, Dave Dralle, and Phill Gallant the evolution of the rear flares went something like this. The first cars to have the rear flares were simply cut out with tin snips and a flat piece of aluminum was welded back in. These were called "trash can flares" because it looked like flare was cut off a piece of a trash can and welded in. Then Jozef Flair (sp?) hated the "trash can" look and so he pounded out the fender giving the Cobras the "Jozef" flare. Jozef was one of the sponsors on Dave Dralle CSX3020 comp Cobra and he is the one who painted 3020 yellow with the black X. Jozef only charge for the paint was his shops name on the rear fenders.

We have been making that e-brake caliper for some time now. It is a very tight fit on a 15 inch Trigo rims. On the Hawk Cars FIA rim there is quite a bit of clearance.

Thanks Tom. Don't get more 'original' and 'real' than that!

Now that is a work of art! And you will be able to drive it too, not hang it
on a wall.
