What if we had a regular once-a-month meet and cruise schedule, say third or last Saturday of the month, as long as something like Knotts didn't get in the way? I'm too new here to know if the weather then would be too cold/hot/just right...but how about Mt. Charleston last Saturday next month (4/29/06)?

We'll have to play it by ear this time of year.
Could be perfect or a foot or two of snow. We should know midweek before the trip.

Do you want to wait until the 29th or go sooner. I had too much fun this weekend. Don't want to wait. It will be hot soon. This summer we'll have to take early early morning trips or evening trips.

I could go sooner, that would be 4/8 or 4/15...I vote for 4/15.

Sounds good....
Plus, if/when Scott and Terry have a problem they could always coast back down. Assuming they make it up the mountain.

Yeah, and I'll bring up the REAR...let you guys collect the speeding tickets, I've got all I want (I understand they are pretty tough up there too).
ST and I will bring tow ropes and jumper cables for you guys to use...

So guys, are we still on for the 15th? What's the plan? I'm assuming either meet for breakfast or meet on the north side and head up the mountain...eat lunch at the lodge and head back down the other side? I'm not familiar with the roads enough to know the best routes...
Sandy wants to go with us, anyone else bringing their other half? Who is planning to go?
Scott (you know, that guy who organised this thing?) said he may have a conflict that would keep him from going (admittedly his conflict is more important than our fun outing), so depending on who is available and schedules, do we want to postpone it until April 29?

I don't want to sound like a party pooper but have you looked at the mountain lately. The ski lifts are still running and will be until the middle of this month. You might want to wait until at least the trees have some leaves.

OOPS! Being the noobie I am to Vegas, I didn't even think about that...good point chuck. I'm with you, what say we postpone this joyride until early next month, weather permitting? We can meet for breakfast at the end of this month and plan it out.
