Default What I learned on my trip to Las Vegas

Hey Guys:

Spent last week in your very interesting town, my first trip by the way. Here is some of what I learned that, no doubt, you natives could have told me.

1. That little refrigerator in your room with all the goodies in it has a brain. Even if you just lift something off of its base to look at it, you get charged. Who knew? I figured this out on the plane coming home while going over my bill. Do you know what caviar costs?

2. Nothing is as close as it looks. That building right down the street is 20 minutes away. How do they do that?

3. Things seem a lot higher looking down from them than they do looking up at them! The Stratosphere and Eiffel Tower come to mind.

4. That gorgeous woman sitting next to you in the casino, who finds you so interesting, just might be a professional.

5. By putting enough cash in somebody's hand, all things are possible.

6. While the guys at the Andretti Racing School tell you the cars are going 150 MPH, they are (according to my watch) doing about 120 MPH. I decided to spend my money elsewhere.

All in all we had a great time.

Bob

Bob, lesson #1 when comming to Vegas: find a local and have a long chat about the rules. You should have posted here and made arrangements for breakfast, dinner or a Cobra cruise. We would have loved to have given you the rundown.

As they say, what happens in "Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas" especially your money. And remember EVERYTHING is recorded, even what you lift up in your refrig.

Stop your whining, Bob. You gawked at enough scantily clad cocktail waitresses and cleavage to last 5 lifetimes.

I remember my uncle telling me this on a regular basis starting when I was about 11. Now that I thinnk about it, he always hit Vegas at least once a year...

Hey, Bob
Quoting what you wrote . . . only twisted to reflect what should stay in Vegas

Fifth line: By putting enough cash in
Forth line: That gorgeous woman sitting next to you in the casino's
Back to first line: hand, all things are possible.
Back to the top, Line one: Even if you just lift something off of its base to look at it, you get charged.

Welcome to Vegas and it's Casinos and Professional women.

Next time ask around for a different type of ride and we'll be happy to respond to your every wish, we really are a great group here in the Vegas wasteland . . .

And when stopped for a vehicle inspection and asked why the brake pedal seemed to go just a little to close to the floor, the response was:
