45K will buy you a pretty nice middle of the road replica with a running engine that does not need two new rods and God knows what else. This is one of those learning experiences and times. The right thing to do is walk / run away as fast as you can.

The not so good thing to do is follow the rabbit down the rabbit hole only to exit into Wonderland. The thing about Wonderland is, nothing is as it should be and someone, I think it was a Queen of something, is always looking for your head (probably also your wallet in this case).
