Default Racetrack Moutain Rumble Run

Okay boys...here's the final card or the updated story on the ......
!! RACETRACK MOUNTAIN RUMBLE RUN !!

Joe Lombardi was just contacted by Lebanon Valley Dragway and YES the track is available for " Friday June 9th ". Joe asked me to post this which I will also put up on the board at Nick's. Apparently the 50 member car club that was holding out on renting/closing the track on June 9th has made a commitment. The track can accomodate 60 cars easily. Therefore, Joe has been advised they will hold up to 10 spots for us.

The catch........
Joe must commit funds to the guy by this coming Tuesday, April 18th.
No matter what the head count the fee per car is $70.00 all day.
Those interested must give Joe the money by Tuesday or at the least commit that he will attend. Once Joe gets the head count he will send the guy a check for that amount . In the event of a weather problem Joe will NOT GET OUR MONEY BACK. Instead the track will give us that many "freebies" on a future rain date when the track is again closed. By going up on a closed day we are not subject to tech inspection relative to ET. We are advised we will be only subjected to safety inspection. Yahoo!

The Sting...........
Yeah we had May 18th when a Musclecar club closed the track but of course many of you could not make that date. Actaully that was an alternate date as June 9th always was our "chosen one". On June 9th the track will be rented/closed by an import car club.........ricers !! But I say "MAN UP" and stay with your commitment to race !! Bring RAID so we can spray those buzzin bug motors in the grille !! ( I bet they have some fast SOB's in their club though). But we will have our group.

The Commitment......

So far committed to attend :
Jam with 351W , Atkins diet for weight loss... Trailer
Compy with bottle fed 351W...................Trailer
Charlie Lauria with Nasty blown 351W & 1st gear he could commute with.......Trailer
Joe Lombardi " Real Man " driving his F-16 rated FE 427 Cobra ( watch this bad boy)
Steve Virgillio with his power house Corvette ( Oh.... Compy? ICU (:-)
Dr. Vito with his Copperhead Z06 Vette thirsty for Cobra blood (Oh-Oh..he's leeeaving !)
( Why don't he just bring his CSX ????) ( Troublemaker)
Andrew with Winston Cup CSX Tire smokin screamer - borrowed HRE Trailer
(There only to occupy Vito) (**Pre-required to pedal it down the lane)

In the Wings............
Chas and his monster open piped fire breather FE 427 Cobra ( possible trailer).
John Lucido with his Xtra-Nasty blown 392 stroker. ( From stroker to smoker to WEEEeeeeee)
Sandy Cavelli with his "immaculate" blown mega HP Mustang Cobra (full length mirror under the hood)

So that's about ten knuckleheads driving 2.5 hours north just to race? Yup.

Lodging...........
My house is 2 Thruway Exits SOUTH of the track and approx 30 minutes west.
I have 10 single beds. Of course lodging is free but trash talk will cost you so bring lotsa change ! Beer/burgers will be the main course for the evening unless I'm otherwise directed by the Hoitys.
The only 3 rules are: 1) Compy cannot drink Jack Daniels 2) Compy is only allowed to shoot down one star...but not the bright one facing north 3) Compy must obey rule #1

The Boss..........
Joe's running this event. I'm his butler so please e-mail me if you can definitely make it.
PLEEZE either get Joe the $70 by Tuesday or let either of us know so we can lay out the money.
We will both be at Nick's Saturday.
I will post Joe's e-mail tomorrow.
Mine is JAM1775@optonline.net

Default !! Racetrack Mountain Rumble Run !!

Jim thanks for posting the info., I hope we can get at least 10 cars. For those interested just a commitment by next Tues. will do, I'll front a check for the interim. The fee buys us track time from 10am until 4pm, I'm told that race fuel is available in addition to air for tires...so we can air-down for those low E.T.'s and still drive away with good tire pressure for the local roads ( which are not very straight. Jim's place for the night could prove to be very interesting...I know that some of you are STRANGE .

Build one bridge ,does anyone call you a Bruild bidger , brige boulder ? Breathalizer said I was below the legal limit ,barely!

Let me get this straight. We go racing. We get to race rice rockets. We get to sleep in the woods and shoot guns. We have high powered cars and access to large quanities of Jack Daniels. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG ?

This truly is the most fun you can have with your clothes on!

I am so in ,if I was in any further I would be behind you. (See there is the booze talking again!

I will pay up Saturday!

Hey Comp, would that be a little behind or a big behind . As opposed to what some people think I am . Is there room for some target shooting with 44mag???

You can pop some rounds with the 44 mag right off the back on the house.
That should be no problem as long as it is not too late or too early.
I have two furring strip built target stands set up there.

What did they say in Gumball Ralley ? "If it's behind me I don't care !"
Well......for a day or so we better forget that motto !!

BTW....If someone wants to film their own "Broke Back Cobra" movie just give me some lead time to hit the highway . Careful now...I heard there's Sasquatch up there that will take you home and make you their own !

Edit: Where's Vito ?????? WHERE'S VITO ???
Edit Edit: Is Andrew in the loop ?

Jim, do you think if we post this as a show and shine, and tell everyone that the best polished intake manifold will get a prize, we might have a better response??? . Just joking to bring this TTT, after all several superchargers sit-atop polished manifolds and I would really enjoy seeing some of them run.

Ok on a serious note. We have been together as a group for over five years. It is getting tiresome listening to the whiners, ( No names you know who you are) complain we never do anything . The same song over and over, it's too far ,it's too cold, it's too hot, my car is too fast ,my car is too slow.
Guys ,come on already ,sometimes I want to wear a bra and panties when I listen to this crap. We have three trailers going. Anyone breaks we have a ride home for your car. It is a striaght line, no turns ,no breaking points. They are Hot Rods for pete sake they are meant to run and run hard. What are we a bunch of Corvette drivers. (yes Vito I said it)
We ain't gettin any younger boys. How many years before we ever see another, if ever, race track on Long Island?
if you don't want to run , come for the ride.If you don't want to bring your car jump in one of the tow cars. If you don't want to jump in a tow car stay home eat bagels and wonder why your getting too fat to get in your car.

HOLY **** AM I A BAD MOOD OR WHAT!

I just sent you an email with details. I am interested in joining in with the pack if your club will accept a Jersey car. I "may" also be able to help with a trailer. Anybody I can call to discuss? Kindly advise.

Looks like a full house after today's meeting. ERA-FIA has the names of the attending group. Hopefully we'll get it out here during the week.

This sounds like a Don King Promotion for heavyweight fight night !
Bill...be careful..I heard Vito's been pedaling the "mighty Z" waiting for the prized yellow kill sticker !
Will they request best 2 out of 3 just like on "Pinks ?"
Okay....let's negotiate.......who gets one length ?
How about a bumper ??

Is there no end to irony in these posts. I am being jabbed by a guy who bought a car that gets you fitted for a bra and panties when you purchase it. No wait ,I am being cruel. You do get a choice ,you can get a bra and panties or a little model Cavetch with a turn table to put on top of your stock, plastic ,ugly, computer , don't touch me or I'll tell DMV -motor.

"Hey everybody look at my special car it is only one of 600,000 others just like it. I can go really fast when I put my foot down and the computer takes over"

And on top of it all he is not even allowed his own screen name he has to use Momma's.

I think if I get chest pains on the trip we have to remind Dr . V he took and oath to do no harm or I am a dead man!
