Pic's from Long Island Cobras Columbus Circle Run
Bobby sent me a few pics from the magazine photographer....30 of us through the Midtown tunnel meeting up with 3 of the Joisey Boys. The sound in the tunnel was only surpassed by the burnouts while following our Police escort out of the city!!!
Just some trivial info..we had 33 Cobras

15 Superformance
5 Factory Five
4 CSX
4 ERA
1 Classic Roadster
1 Hyland Daytona Racing
1 West Coast
1 Shell Valley

The lineup at Columbus Circle

The Circle and Central Park

The Group

This was the arrival of Bobbys buddies

Our final stop of the day

Wow, I really wish I could have made that one, but I was out of town that weekend. I am really surprised at how many cars were there, given how many people said they couldn't make it on the re-scheduled day.
So are there anymore runs this year??

An example is the Staatsburg show that I went to last Sunday. What a nice ride. I wish there were more LICC guys to share it with. (See pics on separate thread)
There's a fall ride through Nassau/Suffolk on the 28th or 29th sponsored by the MG car club LI chapter and they welcome most cars. I think Fred drove it in the Cobra last year. I'll probably ride it in the Cobra this year. I'll post more particulars.
Cheers.

Bob,this run is always in october, it's all part of the columbus day weekend and the columbus center cobra club theme. it is also the easiest time of year to get the permit for the parking. this is pretty much the last big ride of the season and we end it with a big bang!!!

Great turnout (I had no idea you had so many Cobra's on Long Island), great venue too. I bet those sidepipes really re-verberate going through the concrete canyons. Do it again and send more pictures.

 | Clois,

That's not even all of us. We have a little club with 45 members and that's just us! There are plenty more Cobras on the island.

It is always nice to get everyone together for a cruise and photo shoot. Great looking Cobras. I wish the Cobra's around here were better organized. We need a leader I guess.

LOL. No pressure there! The problem is, this was all 15 years ago. From what I understand many have moved on to Corvettes or just plain moved on! (If you get my drift.) But I'm going to try! I hope all is well, Tommy.
