There is a lot of resemblance isn't there. As for Christmas trees I have a small ceramic one with lights and decorations that I get out and just set it somewhere and plug it in.

We had real for a couple years but the wife didn't like the needles in the carpet, so she bought 5 assorted sizes of pre-lit artificial trees and she puts then up, I have 5 inverted tomatoe cages with lights on them for outside, all quick n easy and serves the purpose. Then back to what I really enjoy, the shop in the garage.

We have a tree farm next to us and every year for 14 days straight, 8 hours a day before Thanksgiving, they are out there with a leaf blower blowing clean every one of the 10,000 trees. Arggh.

But then for the next few weeks we hear the families out there having a blast finding the best tree on the farm and it makes up for all the noise.

You can't replace those moments going out and cutting a tree with the family. But I suppose once the kids grow up, plastic is a good alternative.
