Wow, and to think that Hero's used to be people who actually did something FOR the country. Guess I am just to old to accept the destruction of freedom and personal rights as the acts of a hero.

I wonder if he will eventually become as popular as Regan? Wouldn't that just fry the azz off the conservatives! There are some interesting correlations between Reagan and Obama, as it concerns recession, recovery, re-election, hero status, etc.

Hero or Zero? Like I said else where, the jury is out.

Recovery? Inflation is coming, we are far from a recovery. The bigger the hole that Obama digs will make inflation that much worse. Reagan? More like Carter but much worse.

Took Regan a couple of years, time is on Obama's side.

More on topic for this thread:
I wonder if the new ClimateGate scandal will torpedo "Cap and Trade" in the Senate? I think it will. Cap and Trade comes up for a vote sometime next year I think, it's going down in flames I predicte.

You might want to go back and reread the Constitution and the 27 amendments.

Please pay particular attention to the 10th Amendment:

" The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Therefore, the Federal government has a very limited role and unfortunately has exceeded its constitutional authority for many years - from all sides and all parties, but this is getting much worse. Bush was no saint, but he and congress were amateurs' compared to the current crop of carpet baggers in DC.

I had this debate with a liberal a few weeks ago. His response was that the constitution was an old document written a long time ago, and had no relevance anymore. This is a guy in his early 30's that has made his money the past five years peddling sub-prime motgages while living in a 4000 SQ Ft house in So.Cal. Can you say hypocrite?

Hero's never, they are dupes and always will be dupes. And TOTALLY corrupt, they seem incapable of a shred of honesty.
You dream of comparing Obutthole to President Reagan. Reagan inherited a bad economy with unemployment already at the level that it has GROWN to under Obutthole. You block out Obutt's promise of "below 8%?" PLUS, and this is a huge plus, Reagan also was gifted an inflation rate above FIFTEEN PERCENT from the peanut man. Reagan's spending and tax cuts brought the economy back and brought inflation down to normal levels. And AFTER things were well he spent too much too. Obutthole got an economy in much better shape than Reagan's was, with almost no inflation. Obutt. and his Chicago gang of corruption have made the economy WORSE, not better. And their wild spending for pure pork projects do NOT help the economy. But the outrageous spending WILL cause inflation to skyrocket, IT always has. And it will again and it will be his fault.
You can pick ANY part of anything they have done in any area and if you have eyes and ears, you can see and hear the outrageous lies they tell about everything they touch.

For example, their own Recovery.gov. claims thousands of jobs saved or created. According to ABC and CBS, not FOX. THOUSANDS of those 'created jobs' are imaginary in imaginary districts. In other words, LIES. Blatant, outright lies. When caught, they claim 'honest mistakes,' yet not a single honest mistake was in under-reporting jobs. 100% of the 'errors' were in claiming jobs that don't exist. Honest errors? Bullsh!t!
That's jobs "created!" Jobs "saved," even liberal media agrees that 'saved' cannot be quantified and that the claims are pure baloney.

History lesson. GWB increased the national debt by 5 TRILLION in 8 years. An average of $625 Billion per year. The Dems has increased it by over $1.6 TRILLION already this year and want to raise the debt ceiling by another $1.8 TRILLION THIS MONTH! Using the LOWER number, if Obutthole got 8 years, the debt world increase by $12.8 TRILLION under Obutt. $7.8 TRILLION in excess of the GWB overspending that you liberals STILL like to b!tch about while excusing the present criminal in chief. And health care and cap n tax aren't in those figures.

You got to be sealed in a cocoon not to see it.

So, how about that ClimatGate!

Regardless of how it turned out for Reagan, in the end, fact is at this point, this time frame in his Presidency, he was down for the count. Ultra low approval rating, disaster looming, on the cusp of revolution, stupid "actor" from Hollywood thinks he know's how to run the country. All the same kind of things we are hearing about Obama right now, the same reasoned logic of why he will fail. Same, same, history repeats itself.
