IS that the American way when it comes to health care? Whew, if so, it leaves me ashamed. Health care is a fundamental right for all Americans. How to achive that goal in a more equitable way is the question.

It should NOT be based solely on one's ability to pay. Otherwise, there would be no need for "lists" when it comes to organ transplants. Can't pay, you gonna die, no soup for you, NEXT! Health care is a fundmental right for all Americans? - say it enough times & it must be true.

Health care as a fundamental right is a liberal dream. Sounds terrific, isn't practical.
Everyone has a fundamental to own their own home, another liberal dream. Didn't work out so well [the underlying cause of bank failures and abuse and the housing bubble,]
What we have as Americans is the fundamental to determine our own position in life. Those that choose to be parasites on society have the right to choose that position. Others have the right to choose NOT to support the parasites.

And lastly, lets identify the GREAT LIBERAL LIE! That lie is that ALL do NOT have access to health care. EVERY PERSON IN THIS COUNTRY HAS ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE. Some may go bankrupt trying to pay for it, but they receive it. They have little to start with and they do not lose their house or car. And if truly ill, they would have lost their job anyway. Life, here or anywhere is neither fair or easy. And all the legislation in the world will not help. We have legislated in favor of the less advantaged for more than 60 years now. And they remain in the same dire straits they always choose to be in. But they DO elect worse and worse politicians, to the detriment of all.

Yes, I've got mine,let me tell you how I got it.....

Being I'm just a dumb cajun from Louisiana with NO rich relatives, I've had to work for mine.Started my first "real" job at the ripe ole age of 14 back in 1969, working at the local T,G&Y (remember those stores), rode my bicycle to work everyday after school and worked till 7:00pm and all day on saturday and one sunday a month doing the floors. Did that till I graduated from high school, upon graduation, I had bought and paid for a used trailer house which I had set-up on some property outside of town dad owned and had a saving account and a nice checking account,all by hard work, and it didn't kill me either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to college for 2 years all the while holding down a job and doing small engine and outboard repair out of my grandfathers shop at night and on the weekends........

Then went to vo-tech for 1.5 years all the while still working....

Finished that and went to work offshore in the oil industry, till I married in 1978 and came home to "settle down" with my new bride.
I had a full time job as well as still doing small engine and outboard motor repair till 1994 when I went in business for myself..

Within 2 years business was real good, and I didn't have to work all hours of the night and weekends in my shop "on the side"...

Since 1994, I average working 60 to 70 hours a week in my own business and love it, making a good living for my family....
As off my last bank statement, I'm paying in just a tad over $858.00 per month for health isurance for myself/wife/daughter and we only have major medical, cause that's all I can afford. I/we pay for all medicine/dental/eye care/doctor visits out of MY pocket.......

Now YOU want to tax me more so some lazy fat a$$ed welfare reciepents can have FREE health care???? The same people that never have held a job and never will and never will contribute one penny in the form of income taxes all the while living off my tax dollars while driving an Escalade and eating steak and drinking beer all day while I work 12 to 14 hours each day??????? and anytime they have the slightest little pain in the a$$ or a hangover they drive to the nearest emergency room and get free care........

Yeah, say it enough times and you start to believe that lie. Fact is, health care IS rationed in this country by virtue of what you can or can't afford. Unlike other civilized countries, heck even Mexico does a better job of providing equal care than we do!

No kool aid, in doing my job daily, I see it daily!!!!!!!!!!! I go to people's goverment owned houses at 10:00am and knock on the door and wake them up smelling like they just crawled out of a wine bottle........Ever been in line at the grocery store the first week of the month????? Try it and see who goes thru the checkout with what in their buggy and how they pay for it and what they load the food into in the parking lot..........

Ah, I see the problem. You need to expand your horizons, get out of the slums a little more. Those folks that you see everyday, the ones your talking about? Like you, they "got theirs" already. They got the welfare, they got the Medicaid. Why should they give a rip what Health Care reform is all about as long as it doesn't rock their boat? And it doesn't! They HAVE a good health insurance plan, for them, for their families, for their kids, no worries!

So, what is this Health Care reform bill all about? Who DOES it benefit? Those are the questions you might want to ponder.

Had a chance to live in California, I like Oregon for one simple reason. Mostly the hard working folk that I grew up with around here. No "communes" that I know off and am not looking to find any. Mostly in Oregon, you figure out how to survive on your own, not a lot of Government help around these parts like is so easily found in California.

That was the lead off lie by Obummer, the great liar. 1 Year ago he led off with that crap that our health care system was 47th best in the world. Pure Bullsh!t by a pure bullsh!tter. When that NJ brown trout didn't float, he moved to the Doctors and Hospitals are INTENTIONALLY overcharging and cheating the nation. That didn't float either. That's when the entirely fictitious 47 million with NO ACCESS to health care were 'invented,' causing weeping among the liberal flock. But the public didn't buy that either, so the great liar and his lie advisors finally found their villain, INSURANCE COMPANIES. The most regulated industry in the country supposedly is doing everyone wrong. Could easily call that the GREAT LIBERAL LIE #3. Insurance people, from agents to CEO's cannot break wind without the prior approval of a POLITICIAN. But all will be fixed by moving the regulation from the States to Wash. DC. [aka Wash. BS.]


The truth is: The poor and nearly poor suffer everywhere, and WILL ALWAYS suffer everywhere. They suffer LESS here than anywhere else, hence so many desperately attempting to get HERE. In denial that we have the "best" health care in the world when a substantial part of population has NO access to health care except when they are dying. For those without insurance there is a valid option, MOVE TO MEXICO where even Americans can get affordable health care de-niled in this country.

The number, by United States LAW is 0. You being the denial expert and liberal kool-aid chug-a-lug king, will deny that, even though it is law. But having a law on the books for many, many years didn't dissuade the GREAT LIBERAL LYING LEADERS from making a lying claim so it probably won't dissuade you either. But you might look it up!

I , obviously , can`t speak to everyone having access to the best care in the world , as you put it ... but here are two first hand experiences . The lady down the street got colon cancer at 32 years old .... and no insurance to speak of . She was treated in a world class cancer center and all charges were written off .
The second lady was the wife of a friend of mine who contracted Leukemia . She was still in school and had only student insurance .... again , treatment in a world class cancer center (two bone marrow transplants etc ) , and again , the bill was written off . Neither of these people were refused treatment and the center knew going in that they had no insurance and no means to pay for any treatment ..... and somehow , they still got the best treatment available .

According to Obummer and the liberal loonies, you must be a big fibber, or you are hallucinating or are in denial.

Health care is rationed to some degree in every country, some more so in others.

In Mexico, you're right, everybody gets the same, equal care, that is equal substandard healthcare. You're right in that it is equal.

I've never lived in Mexico, but my secretary's sister did for several years. Her sister and brother-in-law were transferred there, white collar jobs. Lived in a gated community, feared for their and their children's life every day/night, slept in the same bedroom for fear of kidnapping. Stated the schools, healthcare, everything was crap. Couldn't wait to get back to the US.

From what you're saying as an expert, me, not an expert in Mexican society, guess they must have been in a very isolated part of Mexico.

2 cases of people WITH insurance of some kind getting the best treatment. Well that's two down and ten's of millions left to go, with NO insurance at all.

You might recall the Las Vegas out patient chemo therapy unit shutting down a few months back? Left 100's with no access to chemotherpay, period, done, go home and die, see ya.

To even SUGGEST that everyone in America is fully covered with the best insurance is just inconceivable. If that were the case, why is there even a health care debate seeking to provide coverage for millions of Americans without it? The logic employed here, "all people are covered", is irresponsible at best. It demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the fundamental issues involved in the current health bill debate. A real head scratcher how you guys could possibly arrive at this conclusion??? :JEKYLHYDE

If you have a substantial illness and cannot get coverage here in the USA, Mexico becomes a valid option. Beats the heck out of dying! :)
