Help Kill ObamaCare,Donate to Brown in Mass

This would not only be an amazing thing but would send a message to Washington so loud that we could possibly stop the health care bill in it's tracks.

I just logged on and donated $ 50.00 and I challenge all my conservatives to make a contribution to his campaign. Time is running out and the more money he can raise the better chance he will have. I think this is one of the most important elections since the 2008 Presidential elections.

$5.00, $10,00, $25.00, $50.00 anything at all will help!

The latest Poll:

Scott Brown (R) 50%
Martha Coakley (D) 46%

He will be the 41 vote in the Senate Against ObamaScam.

Excaliber 01-15-2010 07:47 AM

I wouldn't count Martha out. One reason is that the Dem's have considerably more funding than the Repubs in this important battle. Recent developments indicate a major investment and push by the Dem's to retain that important seat.

Plus they have a "Plan B" should the Dem's loose the seat in order to retain favorable numbers for the health care vote. Barry asked me not to detail the secret "plan B". :)

Story in the WSJ editorial section today about how Martha, when she was a district attorney in Mass. rabidly prosecuted the Amirault family when it was clear everyone, including several judges who had tried the case and released the Amiraults, that the Amiraults were unjustly convicted. She was involved in a case of prosecutorial overreach in advancement of her career; even today, she still can't admit that she was wrong...

Oh good, it's mud slinging time!! :)

Brown sponsored a law, which failed, to deny rape victims emergency medical care for an abortin drug in cases of rape. His strong religious beliefs follow the Republican party line that abortion is not tolerated except in very extreme cases. "Rape" is not extreme enough to qualify. The proposed legislation was easily shot down.

Don't forget this is a state that already has government health care that is not working.

While not exactly the way you represent it (apparently he sponsored an amendment to the bill that allowed the doctor to deny abortion if the doctor had a problem with the abortion); his amendment failed and he did in fact vote for the bill that included abortions for rape victims.

Expect voter fraud from the dems in this race. They know what is on the line, and it's their MO.

Excaliber 01-15-2010 10:10 AM

Expect those sneaky Republicans to come up with some trick to disallow many of the votes. :)

...if the doctor had a problem with the abortion...
The "problem" was specifically based on the religious views of the health attendant that prevented them from taking part in any kind of abortion. Actually, I can symapthize with that view, I just can't justify it under conditions such as rape. If it had passed it would be paramount to have SOMEONE in the ER who didn't have a "problem" prescribing abortion drugs on a case by case basis. That could be very problematic in certain hospital ER's with a high percentage of "religiously motivated" attendant's. Which is why I suspect the amendmant failed.

Yup, he voted for the bill in the end, to allow for it, (they had his other arm twisted up behind his back and he had little choice). :)

Martha Coakley's Convictions
The role played by the U.S. Senate candidate in a notorious sex case raises questions about her judgment.

She is an idiot.

I sent my $50 Mr. Brown.

Excaliber 01-15-2010 10:14 AM

:) You know I shouldn't say this, but I got a chuckle out of it. A fellow Democrat said concerning her running for this seat, "She stinks, but she's a Democrat..."

Still makes me chuckle. :)

Agreed.

95CobraR,

I am thinking about adding a track car; How do you think your Vintage '65 Mustang compares to a BRE Datsun with triple Webers and 200 hp?

Ernie,

You are right. You shouldn't have said it.

Ron

Ernie, your cover is blown again...a "fellow Democrat"....%/

I thought you were a staunch Independent....

Excaliber 01-15-2010 11:10 AM

HER fellow Democrat, not mine. :)

Bartruff1 01-15-2010 11:17 AM

Well sometimes it is hubris...and sometimes it is madness (Tom Foley etc) when people vote against their interests....maybe the Dems didn't consider the Irish Catholic vote ? There has always been a interesting dichotomy in Mass. between the secular progressives and the irish catholics. I could never imagine why the catholics would vote for a pos like Kennedy except that they had three things in common...irish...catholic...and drunk....:JEKYLHYDE

This isn't the first time that a thread went off-topic around here. :D

Briefly, a Ford is a "cheaper" car to race (no car is actually cheap to race). They enjoy a vast aftermarket support system (you knew that), and a much much larger number of cars on the track (very helpful if you need help or parts at the track).

I mostly race in HSR and SVRA (based in the SE; other parts of the country differ). The rules have four different classes for a Mustang and one for a BRE Datsun.

A BRE Datsun is in the same HRS group (Group 3) as a FIA Mustangs. They are in different classes (so neither is really racing against each other, except for bragging rights).

Nonetheless, just build or buy what car that you would like to race. It isn't like anyone wins any money.

My car: HSR Sebring; December 2009:

I guess it must be important...I got home from work and Curt Schilling (Red Sox pitcher) and Obama had both left messages.

I have issues with both of them (that's a surprise, right?:p), but it might be worth voting for Brown just to kill this pig of a healthcare bill.

Oops

Remember when Obama insulted the Cambridge police when he said they acted 'stupidly' in Gates' arrest?

Coakley's husband is a retired policeman from the Cambridge PD.

The Cambridge police don't like Obama.

Today the Cambridge PD Union endorsed Scott Brown.

And as an added bonus, the Massachusetts State Police endorsed Brown also.
