Doc,
Above the thread, blue bar, click "user CP" drop down menu should have a link to "Edit Signature"

PS: As for rules and regulations what changes were made that chased anyone off?

Hi Earl,
Have you figured out just how you are going to do the hood scoop to give you clearance yet? You will soon have the Cobra ready for a drive. Congratulations.

Ron, I think I'm going to cut my scoop out, cut it in half, add three to four inches to the middle and then glass it back in... ....or, just buy a wider aftermarket scoop and glass it in..... ........

Earl,
We had a guy here that had his carburetor stick up above the hood line and he had his scoop cut out and also widened so it wouldn't look so much like it was just sticking up in the air. They raised it 2 1/2 inches and when it was done it looked great. You really never noticed the extra height since they had widened the whole thing. And he could run a larger air filter after that also.

Well, I cut the scoop out, 1 1/2" on each side, still has clearance issues but is a lot closer.....another 1/2" out of each side and I should have it.

Earl,
That sounds as if you are getting there. When my friend did it they also made a new scoop that fit the hole and raised it. When they were done it really matched great and it was hard to tell it was wider and higher than a regular scoop.

SURE Fixit! 2003 here. C'mon back! We need to get the hardcore tech, no BS guys back.
Got way to many floor mat experts and auction fanboys. Place is crawling with Superformance check-writers and poll-creatin' trolls.
Seriously, get involved again in the tech stuff. A few of us still speak your language.

More scoop progress................
Second picture is the scoop just laying on the hood, the marker area is what will be cut out before the scoop is attached...............
