Default It's been a long time, how many oldtimers left?

Hi guys, haven't been on the site for a number of years.
Was talking Cobras today and thought I would stop by here for some more Cobra related chat.

Any members left, that were around back in 2005 or earlier?

Mr Fixit,

Good to see that you are still around. No, not a lot of members left that post any more from back in those years. But there are still a few that drop in from time to time to post and see what everyone is doing.

Ron

Not as many of the old timers post, but quite a few still lurk on a weekly basis.

Nice to see you back, Mr Fixit! I sure benefited from your help back in the good old days.

Pat,

It has been a long time since I last heard anything from you. How are you and Turk doing these days?

I'm doing well, thanks Ron.

Living in Georgia- decided to become an Appalachian American. Retired.

I haven't seen Turk in a while, but spoke to him recently - he is living in Florida and is also retired and well.

How are you?

Pat,

Sorry that it took me so long to answer but I have been having a lot of health problems and other things that limit my time on the computer. It is really nice to hear that both you and Turk are doing well and that you have retired and gotten out of this republic. There are some great people in Georgia and Louisiana. I remember the humidity from when I had to go down there to work, but that was mainly because I wasn't used to it. However I did carry a small hand gun for the mosquitoes.

Wow these are some names I haven't seen in a long time. I lurk around now and then but don't post much any more. Moved out of CA and got kinda busy.

Is there another site. I thought the computer was created so FE owners could find help? I think a lot of people have sold or moved on to other interests, and unfortunately we have lost a few.

We are doing good. Two kids and sports (kids and adults) and Road America not too far away keeps us going. Emily is getting big and likes sports, hunting fishing. Jacob is getting big. Fascinated with airplanes, missiles and bombs.

Darn Brent,

It seems that it was just a short time ago when you posted pictures of Emily while you were out here and she was just a small, pretty girl. Being close to Road America is nice.

I was getting teased last year playing softball by some of the guys that she was getting old enough boys were getting interested and they asked if I had any guns. I said I don't need them, she has her own. They all said "Uh Oh, those boys better watch it".

Both kids love going to Road America to the vintage races. You get to walk through and talk to the owners and drivers. Jacob was thrilled to be so close to the race cars as you can see in the picture. The Rousch cars were one of the first ones we saw after coming into the paddock area.

Brent,

You are a very fortunate person and have some great kids. Do you still have your Cobra?

If you don't mind PM me your email address as I don't have it any more.

Hi Guys: Remember me? Ron Kruger of SPF in Newport News, VA. Been retired back home in SA since 2006. Just passed 77, still going strong. The replica landscape has certainly changed these past few years - and so have the owners. Take care, and enjoy every day.
