Ron - I did find these. Not sure of the wheel size but suspect it's around 6 inches. I hate to loose the self loading feature but I guess they are an option.

Dan,

Those look as if they might work OK on your floor. I couldn't find the height they stand at but they do have replacement wheels for them and the wheels are 6"" ones. It would be hard for me to use that type in my garage as I don't have room on one side of the car for the floor jack to work. But I do like those larger wheels.

The tendency is to focus on the rolling resistance of the small wheels. In my case that was minor. Changing the direction of the 16 wheels (i.e., the pivot) was the killer. Same as the front tongue wheel on your car hauler. The wheels will roll once you convince them of the direction. A lift is a much better solution if you have the space. IMHO of course.

Chilibit,

I couldn't agree more about the lift but I don't have the space or ceiling height for a lift. I have had several companies look at my garage and it would take a major rebuild to get enough clearance for me to have a lift. But I would sure love to have one.
