Here it is more on the order of:
¿Hola mi amigo, cómo es usted? Gracias por visitar California. |
Brent,
At 125' below sea level you won't have ocean front property. You will have an ara of ocean that you can call your own. :D Now Death Valley comes to mind as a possibility. It is so hot and miserable there that I am sure the water will go around it. I think that any quake that really caused severe damage in this area would just about be the end of Calilf. period. If it strong enough to break off 150 miles of land West of me including the mountains and then trigger the faults we have here, Las Vegas looks good for costal property.:D :3DSMILE: Tru, Geography lessons. I am just trying to find out where I am at!!! Ron :) %/ |
Ron,
Maybe you should go buy some investment land in Death Valley. It should be very cheap now. But after the quake it will be priceless. Beside you will have the American version of the autobahn at your front door. :) Brent, If you were to substitute Texas where you put California. You would have really hit the nail on the head here as well. |
Steve, you looking at the big picture when Death Valley becomes beach front property????
I think all of Michigan will be under water of the seas rise. And how does this relate to Cobras?, I have no idea. |
tru. it doesn't relate. that's why it's on the 'ignore' thread!
 |
OOOOOOOOOOOps
Was this thread supposed to be about cobras? Death Valley will be the beach. Miles and miles of nothing. Hey there is a song in there somewhere. |
Death Valley Benefits,
Consistant weather. Gold, though it has melted out of the ore and is in some deep underground pools now. You can drive for miles without having to worry about hitting any deer, cattle, or other large animals on the highway. You get to meet a lot of politicians as they come there to practice for their afterlife. :D  Ron   |
Post count.
|
LOL
Ron, Now you are telling us just how close you live to Death Valley to know such things. LOL :) that is funny I can see it now, billboards. Death Valley Ploticians Retirement Village |
Raining here today after five days in the mid and upper 90s and humid as all get out. But it will really be bad now when the sun comes back out in a day or so and goes right to the 100+ mark. Oh, well, the great Northern Calif. weather continues to be inconsistant. :)

**** Weeds
You can try this for weeds. Weed-be-gone works in 24-48 hours and round-up works in 7-10 days so I 've been mixing them 50-50 for years and it takes care of even the poison ivy/oak vines going up trees (without killing the tree). There was a commercial weed killer years ago that you were to mix with fuel oil or diesel fuel with, I can’t remember the name (really worked well) today it's EPA registered so you need a license to buy now.
Another thing you can do for poison ivy. Do not mulch around plants were poison ivy lives (poison ivy seems to grow WELL in mulch) try using shredded /chipped wood. You can get it free from tree services when they are working in your neighborhood (they usually have to pay to dump there chips!) They will usually give you (gladly) the truck load. This chipped wood and branches is acidic as it breaks down and poison ivy does not like it. And it will last for 2-3 years, I use this in my wooded area and it works well. Take care, Jon |
Jon,
Thanks for the information. I have been buying the undiluted Round Up here and it will kill about anything except those Star Thistles. I have tried Weed Be Gone and a dozen other brands and none of them will even turn these thistles brown, let alone kill them. I swear if they put one on a probe and sent it to Mars, within six months they would have 3 acres of them growing well. They grow better with no water and that is why we have none until the Summer comes and the rains stop. Fortunately they are in my upper lot and I don't care about any grass or anything there so I have just tried all kinds of stuff. Except C-4. Ron  |
Ron,
Now you know C-4 would only spread them out so they could have more room to expand, right? Before you know it they will growing on the roof. |
Level Red ozone day here in Texas
97* windy as all get out 30% chance scattered showers this evening. Humidity is hoorible. I don't know the rate but if it was any higher it would rain. Dang, and I need to cut the grass. Yea I know FRED, hire someone else. I heard you the other day. I enjoyed our conversation. It was nice to chat with you. |
I still say put a goat up there. The eat anything and you can milk it. Think of all the money you can save on cheese and herbicides.

Hey, it's not my fault the moderator was out sleeping.

per The American Heritage College dictionary See I really do keep one by my desk. Maybe I should use it more |
Steve,
I have a dictionary here too, but if I can't spell the word in the first place, how do I find it in the dictionary? I think I will just make up a list of the several thousand words that I mis-spell and e-mail it to Kristen to spell them correctly and send back to me. After all, that is part of her Modrator's duties isn't it?  Goat::: Goat = Goat Crap :: Not legal in this area. Must be on a ranch with approved ways to dispose of cow crap and other waste materials. :D Ron :D |
