Warren,

They have excluded almost everything from being used to base the COLA on. Claim it should be based only on the things people have to have and they don't consider getting to work as a necessity. I believe the last one was just over 1% but am to lazy to go look it up. I do remember that the paper reported it had gone up over 3.6% or something like that right along side the COLA for Social Security. I just don't plan anything based on what they give for a COLA. Kind of like the unemployment had gone down because they quit counting anyone that wasn't drawing unemployment.

Fred,
With the looks of it they are living on the bike. Anyone notice the skillet hanging on the back?

Tru,
Don't bet your life on it!!!!!! ;)

I once said GMA but I had forgotten we have friends in Australia, so it is GMW, right, or would it be GMA&A?

wtm442 06-27-2008 10:00 AM

Steve - don't forget Antarctica and Austria and Albania and .....A$$holes

Man, the humidity is really getting thick. You can feel it outside, just trying to breathe. Just went and did some shopping. Think I'll hibernate inside in the A/C this afternoon. Rain clouds coming thru Providence now, so I expect thunderstorms will put the kibosh on the big cruise night tonight. They usually have 250 to 400 cars.

OK .. time for lunch and I have to get my daily protein.

I see your humidity is as bad as it is here in DFW. It is like breathing air soup.

Ditto today. A tremendous thunderstorm just rolled thru my area. Tons of lightning bolts and simultaneous crashes of thunder. Too close for comfort. I turned all of my computer stuff off. The sky got so dark, it looked like midnight.

After 5 minutes of thunder, there was 10 minutes of solid rain. The temperature went from 88 to 74°F. Now the sun is trying to peak out thru the clouds. If the streets dry off, I may go to the cruise-in tonight.

:)

I just got home from the range and finished cleaning my gun. Not many people there at this time of day so it is nice. My gun is getting old even though it is in very good condition as I haven't fired it a lot. But I was looking at some of the newer ones and if I can find one that fits my small hands and has good balance I think I may spring for one.

Mike,

The anti gun crowd will try every way to get around this decision, but I won't be around when they finally manage to do it. Maybe I can watch them get picked off from another plane.

Brain fart? Senior Moment? An attack of the Bill Gates disease?

Ron61 06-29-2008 09:47 AM

:(

And it just continues to get worse. I was going to go over and look at that big bomber they are supposed to have land on the lake today but this smoke and ash has my throat and sinuses in a real mess. Also the CHP is blocking some roads over toward the dam and lake.
