Are these just the words of a few extremists? Consider that we could fill up many pages with such quotes. Also, consider that these are mainstream Mexican leaders.

Every single Democratic senator except Ernest Hollings voted to maintain special privileges for Hispanic, Asian and African immigrants. They were joined by thirteen Republicans. Bill Clinton and Al Gore have repeatedly stated that they believe that massive immigration from countries like Mexico is good. They have also backed special privileges for these immigrants. Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch, Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?: Did you know that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals? I was always amazed that the GOP didn't fix this mess when they had the chance. I also think it is interesting that I do not know a single person who is in favour of amnesty in any form. This includes people who are Democrats, Republicans, and not associated with any party.

This seems to be shaping up to be another sort of litmus test for candidates, and I think it will play a big role in the election for President. This could actually cause the Dems to not win the Presidential election.

Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. According to the protesters:

You are Required to let me stay in your house

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your House carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there. And what a deal it is for me!!! Yes, and it seems that our President has stated that he will get that Amnesty bill passed. Didn't they have a similar bill a few years ago that did about the same thing and now we are back at it again. And if this one passes, in another 5 years we will need another one to grant amnesty to the rest of the world that moves in. I have nothing against any person coming to this country if they go through the process and do it legally. But this crap of giving thousands amnesty every few years is asinine. Crack down on the people hiring them also. They may cry about having to pay more for legal workers, but they will just pass it on to the consumers anyway.

There were laws passed a few years ago to secure the borders. That is still not done. Both the Bush and Clinton administrations failed to get it done.

The Coburn Amendment (#1311) was to make sure that the previous laws were carried out and that borders were secured before any kind of amnesty would be given to anyone. Basically, it said that previous laws regarding immigration and secure borders would have to be carried out before any new ones would take effect.

It got voted down. So, in theory, all the people who voted against it voted to not carry out the laws of the US.

There are a couple of roads being repaved near my house, so I can probably get some tar. Anybody have any extra feathers?

U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney (R-Oviedo) today announced the final reason why every hardworking taxpayer should oppose this immigration amnesty sellout.

"This irresponsible legislation represents the largest single increase in the government welfare state in our history," said Feeney. And it will take effect almost immediately -- as soon as the 12-20 million or more illegal immigrants are given amnesty, they will be entitled to get Social Security numbers, which will in turn permit them to use the full range of entitlement programs available to law-abiding Americans.

"The bottom line is that illegal immigration expands our welfare programs that are already bursting at the seams. Under this bill, millions of illegal immigrants will receive a Social Security number and immediately begin collecting on services that they do not pay their fair share toward.

"Central Floridians should not have to pay more in taxes to support illegal behavior and watch the overcrowding of their schools and emergency rooms. Illegal immigrants who do not follow the rule of law and do not pay taxes most certainly should not be allowed to benefit from our social services," said Feeney.

A Center for Immigration Studies analysis of 2006 Census Bureau data, which includes legal and illegal immigrants, shows use of welfare by households headed by Mexican and Latin American immigrants is more than double that of native households.
