Tell them he's/she's guilty before you hear the evidence. Sure to get you sent home.
"Must be guilty Your Honour otherwise the Police would not have him before the Court....
Have fun.

Well I arrived at 8:10 and sat around till 10:00 when a group of us were called into a courtroom. The skell was a rasta-man accused of selling/dist coke and heroin (imagine that!) Had about 5 counts.
I wound up as juror #2 around 11:00. Went through the interview fine. It took till around 4:00 to pick the jury and the minute the voir dire started the defense broad dismissed me.
Went back to the jury room and was told I was done.
Too bad. Last time I wound up forman of a jury on a criminal case and convicted the guy. Put him away for 3 years.
Maybe next time.

An aside, I almost apologize, this is how I have avoided jury duty for over 20 years. (I'm sorry, I can't live on $15/day during a protracted trial)
"Your honor, I know how the justice system works. If the DA pursues a case, that means he has evidence and testimony that will totally convince a jury that the defendant is guilty. The trial is a formality and, pushing the edges of contempt, I'm sorry, I will probably sleep through much of it and vote 'guilty' at the end of it."
They shooed me out the back door every trial session for 10 years, I have not been called up for 5 years. The "random" computer program for prospective jurors somehow magically ignores me.
Thank God for Oklahoma. We have not... quite... joined the Union.
You would like it here, Roscoe. I can take a deep breath anytime I want. I can pee off my back porch. The local cops hassle my little blue car, but only when I am driving it.
I was dismissed from jury duty several times in the late '80's, and have not been called for jury duty since.
