yah.... some people don't get it, and it is a constant discussion EVERY YEAR, usually by NEW MEMBERS not folks that have been around here awhile.
Kinda like a few potstirrers in the texas forum looking to change the date of the spring meet. Leave it alone, allready!!!

OK, back on topic. I personally see no benefit towards myself. I think Brent is a good charity.  Seriously, I guess it just feels good to support something that you care about. OK, that IS a benefit. Giving should make you feel good. Never do it if it does not make you feel good.
I will never understand why you take this issue on as you perenially do. Giving is a personal issue. One should not disscuss these things like this. I do not care if you give or do not give. You do what you want to, and I will do what I want to. And if it is because you feel "naked" without a trophy and a star, well, nothing I can do about that. Just deal with it, and move on.
